π¦ Memento: Natural Renewal
SNAPSHOT 0.9.0 (Beta)
First public snapshot of Memento.
β¨ Features
-
Natural chunk renewal
- Regenerates terrain, trees, ores, and structures using vanilla world-gen
- No disk-level deletion, no external tools
-
Stone-based control
- Witherstones trigger renewal in a defined radius
- Lorestones protect areas from renewal
- Stones mature over time and are consumed after renewal
-
Safe, deterministic behavior
- Renewal only happens when chunks are fully unloaded
- Never regenerates while players are present
- Logout or natural unload resumes renewal automatically
-
Strong observability
- Full lifecycle logging for stones and renewal batches
- Clear, operator-friendly logs
- Warnings when renewal is blocked or needs intervention
-
Server-side only
- Fabric server mod
- Vanilla clients can connect without installing anything
β οΈ Beta notes
- Focused on correctness and safety, not performance tuning
- Persistence format may still evolve
- Log verbosity is intentionally rich during beta
π― Intended use
Designed for renewing abandoned areas and letting new world-gen mods affect existing worlds.
Not intended for resource farming or frequent manual chunk resets.
Projects on Modrinth are automatically available through a Maven repository for use with JVM build tools such as Gradle. To learn more about the Modrinth Maven API, click here.
Note: When available, you should use the creator's maven repo instead as it will have transitive dependency information that the Modrinth Maven API does not. You may also end up with duplicate dependencies if you use a mix of Modrinth and non-Modrinth Maven repositories for your dependencies, because the group identifier will be different when served through the Modrinth Maven API.
