0.9.6-SNAPSHOT
Compatibility
Changes
This update is a major stability and behavior improvement since 0.9.5.
Memento now interacts much more politely with your world and your server. Chunk loading has been reworked to apply steady, adaptive pressure instead of bursts, which makes it safer to run on active servers and alongside other mods that also load chunks.
What’s improved
-
Much smoother chunk loading
- No aggressive forcing
- Automatically adapts to server load
-
Plays nicely with other mods
- Designed to coexist with mods like Distant Horizons and other chunk loaders
-
More predictable scanning and renewal
- Renewal always takes priority
- Scanning no longer blocks or overloads the server
-
Cleaner logs
- Important world events stay visible
- Internal details are moved to debug logs
What this means for you
- Lower risk of lag spikes
- Better long-running stability
- Safer to run scans and renewal on live worlds
- A stronger foundation for future features
This release focuses on stability, correctness, and server friendliness. Further optimizations to scanning behavior are planned for upcoming versions.
Projects on Modrinth are automatically available through a Maven repository for use with JVM build tools such as Gradle. To learn more about the Modrinth Maven API, click here.
Note: When available, you should use the creator's maven repo instead as it will have transitive dependency information that the Modrinth Maven API does not. You may also end up with duplicate dependencies if you use a mix of Modrinth and non-Modrinth Maven repositories for your dependencies, because the group identifier will be different when served through the Modrinth Maven API.
