Changes
This beta brings a massive wave of new enchantments across nearly every item type, rounding out the enchantment pool with dozens of additions — weapons, tools, armor, shields, elytras, mounts, tridents, ranged weapons, utility slots, and economy curses all got new options. A spyglass enchanting surface also makes its debut.
Added
- Weapon enchantments: Reap, Mark, and Volley give melee and ranged weapons new tactical options.
- Tool enchantments: Kiln, Meticulous, Trailblaze, Dowse, and Twin Hook expand what your tools can do in the world.
- Armor enchantments: Winterward, Umbral, and Stormward add new defensive and elemental protections.
- Shield enchantments: Stagger and Bullrush turn your shield into an active threat.
- Elytra enchantments: Tailwind and Falconstrike make aerial traversal and diving attacks more powerful.
- Mount enchantments: Wavestride and Endurance improve riding in water and over long distances.
- Trident enchantments: Undertow and Torrent bring new aquatic combat and movement options to tridents.
- Ranged enchantments: Pin and Skyfall add crowd-control and aerial sniper play.
- Utility enchantments: Groom, Verdure, and Clearsight cover quality-of-life niches that were previously empty.
- Economy enchantments: Thrift and Alchemist's Draw reduce costs; Curse of Toll and Curse of Dissonance add new economic downsides to the curse pool.
- Aquatic enchantments: Ballast and Abyssal, plus the new Curse of Waterlogging, fill out the underwater kit.
- Attunement — a shelf-bound repair enchantment that links an item to a nearby shelf for passive mending.
- Tracker's Lens — the spyglass is now an enchantable item with its own enchantment surface.
- Eleven new curses fill gaps across item types that previously had no curse coverage.
- A
/meridian auditcommand lets you inspect how third-party enchantments are registered alongside Meridian's own.
Fixed
- Curse of Molting no longer causes a visible flicker when the fizzle effect is predicted client-side.
Optional dependencies
Projects on Modrinth are automatically available through a Maven repository for use with JVM build tools such as Gradle. To learn more about the Modrinth Maven API, click here.
Note: When available, you should use the creator's maven repo instead as it will have transitive dependency information that the Modrinth Maven API does not. You may also end up with duplicate dependencies if you use a mix of Modrinth and non-Modrinth Maven repositories for your dependencies, because the group identifier will be different when served through the Modrinth Maven API.
