Changes
Added Survival Compatibility
- Added the Magic Sanctuary, a new structure that can be found in the Overworld
- Added Magic Sanctuary Explorer Map, which can be obtained in a trade with a master Cartographer
- Added new gameplay feature to obtain the Magic Wand in Survival: you'll need to visit a Magic Sanctuary and you'll have to have the following advancements unlocked: Hero of the Village, Zombie Doctor and Monster Hunter/Not Today, Thanks.
- Added the Magic Bar, which displays the magic energy you currently have; casting a spell in survival will drain the magic bar and if it's not full enough you won't be able to cast the selected spell until it's recharged. Each spell has its own magic cost, with more powerful spells being more costly. The Magic Bar can be toggled by pressing G, and in any case it will only display while you're holding the wand
- Added Spell Scrolls, new items which can be found in structures all around the world which will allow you to properly unlock each spell; you won't be able to cast most spells in Survival until you've unlocked them (you'll still be able to do that regardless if you're in Creative mode)
- You'll no longer be able to open the Notebook of Spells and the Wand Preferences menus in Survival mode until you obtain your own Magic Wand in the Vanilla way. You'll still be able to do that regardless if you're in Creative Mode
- Added /wandsettings" command, which will allow you to manually change some settings tied to the new wand obtaining feature: "storyline" represents your current stage of obtaining the wand, "wand_count" represents the total number of wands that have been bestowed until now and "wand_limit" represents the maximum number of wands that can be given in your world (which is 1 by default; even after changing this you won't be able to obtain a second wand after gaining your first one, unless you modify your "storyline" parameter)
Other Features
- Added Mystic Room Suck Transform spell, which will cast a magical blackhole that will suck any entity in its range. If you shift while casting it you'll put the Mystic Suck Portal in Output Mode, releasing any entity it has previously swallowed. The spell will be undone if you get too far away from the back hole. (!WARNING: the spell currently DOES NOT save any swallowed entity if it's undone by switching item in your inventory or by dropping the wand!)
- Added Star Wand, a new wand variant which can be accessed from the Wand Preferences Menu
- Added "/wandreset" command, which will reset the current state of the wand to the default one (i.e, should your wand get stuck in its activated form, this command will fix the issue).
- Added a way to cast the Levitato spell by reciting the words in chat
- Added new advancement
Changes
- The main offensive spells have been balanced in terms of damage, knockback, and additional features to make them more suitable for Survival Gameplay
- The Narwhals from the Narwhal Blast spell are no longer stopped by water, reaching distant targets like in air
- The Levitato spell will drain your Magic Bar more quickly the larger your target is
- Winter Storm Hyper Blow can no longer freeze the Ender Dragon
- The Food Generating spell has now three tiers: if you cast it without having unlocked it first you'll get bad loot; if you cast it after that you've unlocked it you'll get medium loot; if you cast it after completing the "Balanced Diet" advancement you'll get good loot
Bug Fixes
- Fixed the Never Ending Fireworks spell not shooting any firework before entering its Preferences Menu and modifying its settings; now it will shoot indigo fireworks by default (which can still be changed in the Preferences menu)
- Fixed Giant Mushroom Bombs spawning naturally around the world
Projects on Modrinth are automatically available through a Maven repository for use with JVM build tools such as Gradle. To learn more about the Modrinth Maven API, click here.
Note: When available, you should use the creator's maven repo instead as it will have transitive dependency information that the Modrinth Maven API does not. You may also end up with duplicate dependencies if you use a mix of Modrinth and non-Modrinth Maven repositories for your dependencies, because the group identifier will be different when served through the Modrinth Maven API.
