Minimap CE 3.6.0
Features
- Modernized Radar Arrows: Redesigned entity radar markers into sleek, faceted 3D chevrons with high-contrast outlines and subtle drop shadows for crystal-clear readability against any terrain or lighting condition.
- Smart Entity Detection: Improved mob classification using Minecraft's
IMobhierarchy. All hostile monsters (including Slimes, Ghasts, and Magma Cubes) now render in crimson, players in cyan, and friendly creatures in emerald green.
Bug Fixes
- BetterGameSetting Compatibility: Fixed in-world waypoint beacons rendering directly on top of the player when BetterGameSetting is installed by properly adapting camera far-plane clipping to its extended view distance algorithms.
Technical & Performance Optimizations
- Render Loop Hoisting: Consolidated OpenGL state switches and texture bindings outside the mob rendering loop to minimize draw call overhead.
- Trigonometry Elimination: Pre-computed camera view-vector projections once per frame in
WaypointBeamRenderer, removing repetitive trigonometric operations across all active waypoints. - Cached Mod Inquiries: Statically cached FabricLoader mod detection queries.
- GC Allocation Reduction: Reused an in-memory sample buffer during chunk tile updates, preventing recurring heap allocation spikes.
Projects on Modrinth are automatically available through a Maven repository for use with JVM build tools such as Gradle. To learn more about the Modrinth Maven API, click here.
Note: When available, you should use the creator's maven repo instead as it will have transitive dependency information that the Modrinth Maven API does not. You may also end up with duplicate dependencies if you use a mix of Modrinth and non-Modrinth Maven repositories for your dependencies, because the group identifier will be different when served through the Modrinth Maven API.
