Description

MobSteer is a Rideable mobs plugin that allows you to ride and control almost any mob in the game. Do you want to fly with a bee, swim with a dolphin, or just walk around with a chicken? This plugin lets you do just that! You can control almost all mobs or even players using the WASD keys.

Features

• Right-Click & Ride: Simply right-click any mob and start controlling it if you have permission or use /msr ride.
• Full Control: Take control of almost any mob (fly, swim, walk).
• Customization: Fully configurable dismount style, speeds, blacklist, hooks, player riding and Invulnerability.
• Ender Dragon: Can be ridden, but beware it may break blocks!
• Player Riding: Ride and control other players!

Gameplay

Commands

Use /steer to mount a mob, and /msr for configuration.

• /steer - Use this command to mount and control a mob.
• /msrfix - Fix broken mobs (AI) or players (attributes).
• /msr reload - Reloads the configuration file.
• /msr mode <near|target|hand> - Changes riding mode.
• /msr blacklist [add|remove] <mob|flying|swimming|walking|boss> - Manages the mob blacklist.
• /msr ride [all|user] <true|false> - Allows riding and /steer for everyone or a specific player.
• /msr hover <true|false> - Toggle hover mode.
• /msr autostep <true|false> - Toggle auto step.
• /msr players [ride|rideop|eject] <true|false> - Setup Player riding.
• /msr force [mount|dismount|dismountlock] <player> <entity|true|false> - Force actions on players.
• /msr speed [mob|override] <value> - Edit mob speed.
• /msr messages <true|false> - Toggle mount messages.
• /msr falldamage <true|false> - Toggle fall damage.
• /msr invulnerable <true|false> - Toggle ridden mob invulnerability.
• /msr merchants <true|false> - Allow riding trading merchants.

Notes

• Horses and similar mobs have a custom vanilla like taming system provided by this plugin by default.

• Permissions have higher priority than LuckPerms hook in the config.

Configuration

• Custom Dismount: Choose between vanilla dismounting or requiring a triple shift to get off.
• Speed Control: Override speed for all mobs or set specific speeds for Ender Dragons, Withers, etc.
• Player Riding: Configure if players can ride other players.
• Movement: Configure flying, hover mode and auto-step behavior.
• Blacklist: Easily restrict certain mobs from being ridden.
• Taming System: Control if players can ride their own pets or pets belonging to others.
• Invulnerability: Make the mob invulnerable while being ridden.
• World Restrictions: Whitelist or blacklist worlds where riding is allowed.
• Messages & ActionBar: Fully customize all plugin messages (supports MiniMessage and legacy colors).
• Hooks: Integration with WorldGuard, LuckPerms (group-based restrictions) and GadgetsMenu pets.

Permissions

• mobsteer.use - Allows riding mobs.
• mobsteer.steer - Allows using the /steer command. (requires mobsteer.use to work)
• mobsteer.admin - Access to administrative commands (/msr) and bypasses all mount restrictions.
• mobsteer.* - Full access to the plugin.
• mobsteer.fix - Allows using the /msrfix command to force fix broken mobs or players.
• mobsteer.unrideable - Prevents other players from riding this group or player.
• mobsteer.ride.* - Permission to ride all mobs and players
• mobsteer.ride.players - Permission to ride players
• mobsteer.ride.players.op - Permission to ride OP players
• mobsteer.ride.players.eject - Permission to eject riders while being ridden.
• mobsteer.ride - Permission to ride all mobs.
• mobsteer.ride.<mob> - Permission ride to specific mobs.
