Changes
Now, this adds a feature that requires a few items.
Costumes
Blocks can now have costumes (Currently only supported by stone blocks and grass blocks)
Test Costume
This is currently the only costume. Use it to verify that costumes are working if you want. There is no texture, so dont worry if that breaks.
Costume Remover
The Costume remover removes costumes from a costumed block.
How it works
In order, this is how it roughly works.
- A costume item is used on a supported block
- The block is replaced with a coded dummy version (as to why it must be supported)
- The dummy version is given the costume to render over the top.
What happens when you remove a Costume.
- The costume remover is used on a block with a costume
- The block gives you back the costume it is wearing
- The block is turned back into the vanilla block it used to be
Potential warning for performance
This effect is done with block entities. This may mean that more costumes may impact performance. The block entities only exist while a block has a costume on, otherwise it isnt in the world.
Projects on Modrinth are automatically available through a Maven repository for use with JVM build tools such as Gradle. To learn more about the Modrinth Maven API, click here.
Note: When available, you should use the creator's maven repo instead as it will have transitive dependency information that the Modrinth Maven API does not. You may also end up with duplicate dependencies if you use a mix of Modrinth and non-Modrinth Maven repositories for your dependencies, because the group identifier will be different when served through the Modrinth Maven API.
