Changes
Mega Chickens 2.0.13
New: Flying Egg
- Added the cyan-named Flying Egg.
- Craft it shapelessly with a vanilla Chicken Egg and Elytra.
- Added full JEI recipe support.
- Equip it to a tamed Mega Chicken to unlock flight.
- Added a dedicated Flying Egg equipment slot.
Flight Controls
- Space: Fly upward.
- WASD: Steer smoothly while airborne.
- Alt: Dive to gain speed and glide farther.
- Ctrl: Airbrake, stopping the Mega Chicken for a controlled slow-fall.
- Flying Egg flight features only affect Mega Chickens equipped with the item.
Flight & Animation Improvements
- Mega Chickens land reliably and resume walking on ground contact.
- Prevented bouncing and ground-gliding after landing.
- Mega Chickens and riders no longer take fall damage.
- Wings flap only while airborne.
- Legs animate naturally while walking and flying.
- Reduced jitter during movement and flight.
- Lowered the rider position for a more comfortable mount.
- Flying Eggs can always be removed from the equipment slot.
GUI & Equipment
- Added empty-slot silhouettes for Saddles, Chests, and Flying Eggs.
- Silhouettes disappear when equipment is inserted and return when removed.
- Improved left/right chest equipment handling and cargo storage.
Capture & Revival
- Tamed Mega Chickens can be captured while preserving their equipment, cargo, appearance, and ownership.
- Mega Chicken revival now clears negative effects and restores them healthy, preventing immediate deaths after revival.
Projects on Modrinth are automatically available through a Maven repository for use with JVM build tools such as Gradle. To learn more about the Modrinth Maven API, click here.
Note: When available, you should use the creator's maven repo instead as it will have transitive dependency information that the Modrinth Maven API does not. You may also end up with duplicate dependencies if you use a mix of Modrinth and non-Modrinth Maven repositories for your dependencies, because the group identifier will be different when served through the Modrinth Maven API.
