Version 1.0!
This is what I had in mind when making this mod
New Features
- "Tamagotchi-esque" system - Hunger, Sleep, and Play bars and a happiness level based off of these
- XP and Skill Tree - Gain XP by fighting and exploring with your pups, spend these levels to upgrade your dog
- Classes - I've added 3 classes for the dogs once they reach a certain level, each class will grant the dog new abilities. (The Fighter - Give your dog a sword and it will do a lot more damage. The Miner - Give it a pickaxe and it will let you when there are ores nearby. The Explorer - Hand your dog a map and it will find you treasure whilst your explore with it.)
- Pet the dog! - You can now pet your dogs by holding CTRL and right clicking them, this will slightly increase their "play" bar
- Advancements - I have added a selection of advancements
Fixes
- Fixed too many dogs spawning in one village, it should be back to just 2 per village again
- Fixed the Labrador holding the ball at a weird angle
Coming soon
This update has taken me a long time to finish but there are more features that will be coming in time.
- Dog bowls - let your dog passively eat and maintain it's food level
- Coloured leads - if you put a lead on a dog it will match it's collar colour
- More ways to gain XP
- More branches on the skill tree
Thanks to everyone for downloading my mod, I'm blown away that so many people have so far since I just made it for me and partner originally. If you would like updates or you would like to suggest new features please join my discord, I check it everyday and would love to hear what you guys think, and just to chat about whatever!
Projects on Modrinth are automatically available through a Maven repository for use with JVM build tools such as Gradle. To learn more about the Modrinth Maven API, click here.
Note: When available, you should use the creator's maven repo instead as it will have transitive dependency information that the Modrinth Maven API does not. You may also end up with duplicate dependencies if you use a mix of Modrinth and non-Modrinth Maven repositories for your dependencies, because the group identifier will be different when served through the Modrinth Maven API.
