Mosquito Menace! (No Optifine required)

This datapack introduces highly aggressive mosquitoes into Minecraft as a hostile threat. If you thought phantom swarms were annoying, wait until these tiny vampiric terrors start roaming your world.

Are real-life mosquitoes not frustrating enough? Now you can spark true anger and fury right inside your own survival world. If you like to massacre mosquitoes or are seeking a challenge, this datapack should fit just right.

How It Works

• Where They Spawn: Mosquitoes spawn exclusively on the surface around Creepers and more frequently in jungles, savannas, and swamps.
• Where They Don't Spawn: You are completely safe from mosquitoes in deserts, beaches, badlands, oceans, and snowy biomes.
• Passive Behavior: When no players or targets are nearby, mosquitoes will float around flowers, just like male mosquitoes in real life.
• Lifespan: Mosquitoes naturally die off after 40 minutes. This ensures you won't return from an AFK session to a weather forecast from hell: "Today we're looking at a bit of absolute chaos with a side of dense, blood-seeking clouds."

Swarm Trap

Finally had enough of the buzzing? Crafted with 6 Iron Nuggets, 1 Soul Lantern, 1 Lightning Rod, and 1 Polished Blackstone Pressure Plate, this block automatically zaps any nearby mosquitoes out of existence.

Bottle o' Mosquito

Looking to terrorize your friends? You can weaponize mosquitoes into a splash bottle that unleashes a horrific wave of buzzing terror onto unsuspecting players. Just make sure to keep a distance yourself, the mosquito does not discriminate.

How to obtain a Bottle o' Mosquito:

1. Place down a Swarm Trap.
2. Right-click the block to open the interface.
3. Insert a Glass Bottle.
4. The Swarm Trap will automatically capture up to 10 mosquitoes per bottle.
5. Once a bottle hits maximum capacity, the Swarm Trap automatically cycle to the next empty or unfilled bottle in the slots. If no valid bottles remain, collection will stop and any remaining mosquitoes will simply linger around the Swarm Trap.

Technical Information

• Base Mob: This datapack utilizes the bee as its underlying mob. Don't worry, bees are not replaced, and mosquitoes will not infest your beehives or nests. The poison inflicted by the base mob utilized by mosquitoes are automatically cleared.
• No Optifine: The custom mosquito model uses item displays to achieve a detailed mob model without requiring OptiFine or mods.
