Changelog 1.7hotfix
Fixes
- The portal was spawning at the player's position instead of in front of them: The portal source (
sourcePosinstartSession()) was calculated usingplayer.position()instead ofcalculateSourcePortalCenter(). The portal now always spawns atportalSpawnDistance(default 2 blocks) in front of the player—for both staffs and scrolls. - The portal was sinking into the ground:
VERTICAL_PORTAL_OFFSETwas equal to(0, 1.0, 0), causing the bottom edge of the portal (with a height of 1.34 blocks) to be 0.34 blocks below the surface. Now the offset isBASE_PORTAL_HALF_HEIGHT(1.34), and the portal is level with the ground. - The teleport scroll worked differently than the staff: The portal from the scroll now creates with the same distance and behavior as from a regular staff.
New Features
- Automatic Recipe Unlocking: Upon receiving any recipe ingredient (obsidian, eye of ender, nether star for the staff; ender pearl, paper for the scroll), the recipe automatically appears in the crafting book.
Technical Changes
- PendingTeleportManager:
startSession()now usescalculateSourcePortalCenter(player, config)instead ofplayer.position(). TheVERTICAL_PORTAL_OFFSETconstant has been changed from(0, 1.0, 0)to(0, BASE_PORTAL_HALF_HEIGHT, 0). - Added advancements for unlocking recipes:data/mr_portal/advancements/recipes/misc/portal_staff.jsonandteleport_scroll.json.

Projects on Modrinth are automatically available through a Maven repository for use with JVM build tools such as Gradle. To learn more about the Modrinth Maven API, click here.
Note: When available, you should use the creator's maven repo instead as it will have transitive dependency information that the Modrinth Maven API does not. You may also end up with duplicate dependencies if you use a mix of Modrinth and non-Modrinth Maven repositories for your dependencies, because the group identifier will be different when served through the Modrinth Maven API.
