š ļø Welcome to the 0.4.1 Multi-Loader & Butchery Update! šŖ The technical foundation of Mushoku Craft just took a massive leap forward! This update brings full Fabric compatibility and introduces the first functional steps into the Carcass mechanics with the Hunting Knife.
⨠New Features & Content:
- The Hunting Knife: Time to harvest! Added the new Hunting Knife item. You can now properly interact with the Mag-Beast Carcasses left behind after a kill. Equip the knife and right-click on a carcass to butcher it and extract valuable materials and monster cores for your future alchemy and weapon forging!
- Fabric Support (Multi-Loader): A monumental milestone for the mod's architecture! Mushoku Craft has been completely refactored to support the Architectury API multi-loader system. The mod is now fully compatible with both NeoForge and Fabric! Play on your preferred mod loader without any compromises.
š ļø Fixes & Technical Improvements:
- Water God Parry Multiplayer Fix: Resolved a critical bug where triggering a parry in multiplayer would instantly crash the client (
TriggerParryPacket codec is null). Parrying is now fully functional and perfectly synced on servers! - Scroll Channeling Overhaul: Reworked the way technique scrolls (like the Sword God Scroll) consume mana. You are no longer blocked from reading the scroll if you don't have the full 1000 mana upfront. The scroll now continuously drains your mana over the casting duration. If you run out of energy, the cast simply interrupts, adding a much better feel to learning techniques!
- Scroll Architecture: Extracted scroll mechanics into a new highly-modular
AbstractScrollItemclass, paving the way for easily adding dozens of new technique scrolls in the future. - Localization Polish: Added several missing translation strings (English and Russian) for action bar messages when failing to cast sword techniques (e.g. without holding a blade, or lacking the proper stance).
ā ļø Note: This update successfully bridges the gap to Fabric and makes carcasses functional! Keep an eye out for the next updates where the extracted ingredients will finally find their use in the Magic Anvil! Feedback and bug reports are highly appreciated!
Optional dependencies
Projects on Modrinth are automatically available through a Maven repository for use with JVM build tools such as Gradle. To learn more about the Modrinth Maven API, click here.
Note: When available, you should use the creator's maven repo instead as it will have transitive dependency information that the Modrinth Maven API does not. You may also end up with duplicate dependencies if you use a mix of Modrinth and non-Modrinth Maven repositories for your dependencies, because the group identifier will be different when served through the Modrinth Maven API.
