Changes
Initial Release (v1.0.0)
The first official release of Neutral Passives for Minecraft 1.21.1.
Features
- Counterattack & Pack Mentality: When attacked, passive mobs (Pigs, Cows, Sheep, Chickens, Ocelots, Horses, and Donkeys) will fight back and alert nearby members of their species to join the fight.
- Squid Defense: Squids will apply a Blindness effect to the attacker and quickly flee when hit.
- Realistic Exceptions: Baby animals will not fight back. Tamed Horses and Donkeys will remain peaceful and will not join counterattacks from wild animals.
- Stealth Kills: Instantly killing an animal with a single, powerful strike prevents it from alerting the rest of the pack.
Technical Details
- Built for Minecraft 1.21.1 using Fabric and official Mojang Mappings.
- Server-Side Only: Fully functional when installed only on the server. Vanilla clients can join without requiring the mod on their end.
- Standalone: Does not require the Fabric API to function.
- Highly Compatible: Uses the standard
GENERIC_ATTACK_DAMAGEattribute, ensuring natural compatibility with difficulty-scaling or stat-altering mods.

Projects on Modrinth are automatically available through a Maven repository for use with JVM build tools such as Gradle. To learn more about the Modrinth Maven API, click here.
Note: When available, you should use the creator's maven repo instead as it will have transitive dependency information that the Modrinth Maven API does not. You may also end up with duplicate dependencies if you use a mix of Modrinth and non-Modrinth Maven repositories for your dependencies, because the group identifier will be different when served through the Modrinth Maven API.
