Duplicate enchantments. 1.0.0 reported every enchantment as compatible with every other one — including with itself. Vanilla relies on self-incompatibility to drop an enchantment from the candidate pool once the table has rolled it, so without it the enchanting table could put the same enchantment on one item two or three times.

Those duplicates were written straight into the item's NBT. They showed up twice in the tooltip, and damage and protection totals counted them twice as well — a sword that rolled Sharpness twice was quietly dealing the bonus damage twice over.

The anvil's 40-level Too Expensive! limit can be removed. Anvil cost doubles with every operation, so stacking six or seven enchantments onto one item hit that wall no matter what. You still pay full price and still need the levels — only the flat refusal is gone. On by default, and skipped automatically if Apotheosis is installed.

A config file at config/noenchantlimits.toml. Each option decides whether its patch is applied at all, so a feature you turn off cannot conflict with anything else in your pack.

Icon and a link in the in-game mod list, and real mod metadata — 1.0.0 still shipped the Forge MDK placeholders (examplemod, YourNameHere).

The version number no longer disagrees with itself: mods.toml said 1.0, the jar said 1.0.0.

Startup logging goes through the mod logger instead of System.out.

Compatibility

Minecraft 1.20.1, Forge 47+. Existing worlds and already-enchanted items are unaffected.
