Expanded mathematical capabilities with new functions, implicit multiplication, smart percentages, arbitrary precision formatting, keyboard shortcuts, and in-game configuration GUI!
Math engine & function additions:
- Added new math functions:
log(x)(base-10),ln(x)(natural log),sin(x),cos(x),tan(x)(evaluates in degrees),min(a,b), andmax(a,b). - Added implicit multiplication support for expressions like
2(3+4),(3)(4),2sqrt(4),3log(100),5min(10,20), and10k(2+3). - Added smart percentage operator: standalone percentages (
10%= 0.1) and additive/subtractive percentage calculations (100 + 10%= 110,200 - 25%= 150). - Disambiguated adjacent
%(percentage) from spaced%(modulo operator).
Arbitrary precision & formatting fixes:
- Fixed floating-point precision loss on large 30+ digit calculations by replacing
DecimalFormatwith a pureBigDecimalstring comma formatter (insertCommas).
REI Search Bar & UX improvements:
- Added scissor bounds clipping (
enableScissor) to prevent search field text overflow. - Added dynamic horizontal text scrolling for Left/Right arrow key navigation inside long expressions.
- Rendered overflow calculation results in an auto-expanding floating box with smooth ping-pong marquee scrolling (
searchBounds.y - 14). - Fixed
StringIndexOutOfBoundsExceptioncrash in REI by reflectively clamping cursor and selection pointers on text updates (clampSearchField). - Added
Ctrl+C/Cmd+Cshortcut in REI search field to copy unformatted calculation results directly to system clipboard. - Added Numpad Enter (
GLFW_KEY_KP_ENTER) and Mac Command key support for shortcuts.
GUI & Settings updates:
- Integrated
/calcconfigcommand andModMenuto open the native Minecraft GUI screen directly (CalculatorConfigScreen).
Localization & Cleanup:
- Audited
en_us.json: removed non-standard emojis, deleted 15 stale unused translation keys, and localized all help menus and configuration screens. - Expanded automated test suite to 128 passing JUnit 5 unit test cases.

Optional dependencies
Projects on Modrinth are automatically available through a Maven repository for use with JVM build tools such as Gradle. To learn more about the Modrinth Maven API, click here.
Note: When available, you should use the creator's maven repo instead as it will have transitive dependency information that the Modrinth Maven API does not. You may also end up with duplicate dependencies if you use a mix of Modrinth and non-Modrinth Maven repositories for your dependencies, because the group identifier will be different when served through the Modrinth Maven API.
