Changes
- Added
- Null data sent by other mods no longer causes a crash when joining a server or a world.
- In multiplayer, a broken mod packet is now dropped instead of crashing the whole server or disconnecting the client.
- If a single entity, block entity or client tick throws a null-pointer error, only that part is skipped — the game keeps running.
- Empty item slots in chests, inventories and menus no longer crash the game.
- Null item stacks in dropped items, item frames and player inventories are treated as empty stacks.
- Added protection for null block positions and for merging null NBT.
- Suppressed errors are logged with an [NPE-Fix] prefix so players can report them.
- Single-side installation is supported: the server or the client can have the mod on its own (1.19/1.20 Forge will not kick a client that does not have it).
- Fixed
- Crash when joining a server caused by null network data.
- Item- and container-related null-pointer crashes.
- Server crash when an entity or block entity tick threw a null-pointer error.
- Client crash when the client tick threw a null-pointer error.
- Fixed a null-pointer crash when an item without NBT data had its rarity or name color calculated (common on 1.19.2 / 1.20.1).
- Fixed a crash where a null-pointer error in one mod's item tooltip code broke the whole tooltip rendering (1.19.2 / 1.20.1).
Projects on Modrinth are automatically available through a Maven repository for use with JVM build tools such as Gradle. To learn more about the Modrinth Maven API, click here.
Note: When available, you should use the creator's maven repo instead as it will have transitive dependency information that the Modrinth Maven API does not. You may also end up with duplicate dependencies if you use a mix of Modrinth and non-Modrinth Maven repositories for your dependencies, because the group identifier will be different when served through the Modrinth Maven API.
