Configurable server settings
Everything that used to be hardcoded — island spacing, claim radius, event timings — now lives in config/oneblock.json. The file is created with defaults the first time the mod loads, so existing servers keep behaving exactly as before until you change something.
New commands
/oneblock config— show the current values/oneblock config reload— re-read the file, no restart needed
What you can change
- Islands — spacing between one-blocks (default 1000) and claim protection radius (default 100)
- Hub — no-build radius around the central hub (default 50)
- Economy — how often playtime pays out OneCoins, and how much (default 1 coin per 5 minutes)
- Events — the auto-schedule interval, plus join window, countdown, round length and minimum players for each event
- Event tuning — targets per player in Block Hunt, cube sizing in Mining Challenge, arena size in Scavenger Hunt
Values are validated on load: anything out of range is clamped and logged instead of breaking the server, and claim radius is capped below half the island spacing so claims can never overlap onto a neighbour. A malformed file falls back to defaults rather than failing startup, and new settings are added to your file automatically when you update.
⚠️
island.player_spacingonly affects islands handed out after the change. Players who already have an island stay where they are, so changing it on an established server leaves you with mixed spacing.
Projects on Modrinth are automatically available through a Maven repository for use with JVM build tools such as Gradle. To learn more about the Modrinth Maven API, click here.
Note: When available, you should use the creator's maven repo instead as it will have transitive dependency information that the Modrinth Maven API does not. You may also end up with duplicate dependencies if you use a mix of Modrinth and non-Modrinth Maven repositories for your dependencies, because the group identifier will be different when served through the Modrinth Maven API.
