Changes
Added
- Power button (#317) default action is now a clean shut down (requesting the guest to shut down). Shift+click reboots, Ctrl+click cuts power.
- Linux handles this through a new poweroff/reboot driver.
- On a Z80 the button falls back to a hard stop or restart.
Changed
⚠️ Really breaking ⚠️
Shut down computers before updating. If you copied the bundled Lua/MicroPython libraries to a drive, those must be replaced with the new versions.
- HLAPI (RPC) protocol changed (multi-blob support, checksums are now CRC32). This is why the libs need updating.
- MLAPI memory address changed
- RISC-V: moved from 0x03000000 to 0x10000000.
- Z80: now comes after other built-in devices, so its port has changed.
- Interrupts: dynamically assigned interrupts are now allocated from high to low. New system controller interrupt uses 7, so this can conflict with saved state.
- Finding devices by name now takes a list of names and returns the devices that match all of them (#316):
- Lua
bus:find(...)and Pythonbus.find(*names). - C
mlapi_find(nth, name, ...)(argument order changed). - Z80
OCFINDtakes a list of names ending in a double zero byte. - The C helper names were also changed to match the Z80 library.
- Lua
All of this just to make clear: don't be surprised if things break during this upgrade. It's a bit of a pain, but it's some direly needed cleanup that should also avoid such breakages going forward.
Fixed
- Fixed a client crash when enchanted armor or elytra is rendered in the projector depth pass (#325).
- Fixed the world flickering near a projector while it rains (#321).
- Clean reset of the RISC-V board on reboot. The HLAPI state now also resets on boot.
Projects on Modrinth are automatically available through a Maven repository for use with JVM build tools such as Gradle. To learn more about the Modrinth Maven API, click here.
Note: When available, you should use the creator's maven repo instead as it will have transitive dependency information that the Modrinth Maven API does not. You may also end up with duplicate dependencies if you use a mix of Modrinth and non-Modrinth Maven repositories for your dependencies, because the group identifier will be different when served through the Modrinth Maven API.
