Ore Detector Reborn
Adds an attunable ore detector that scans through stone for diamond, netherite, and various modded ore. Craft the detector and x-ray goggles using Trial Chamber loot, crush the ore into dust, brew the liquid from it, then pour it into the detector

One detector instead of twelve
Ore Detector Reborn is a new mod, rebuilt from the ground up. Where the old line gave you a separate detector for every ore, this gives you one that you attune to whatever you are looking for. Brew a liquid from an ore, pour it in, and the detector finds that ore.
It installs alongside the old mod without colliding, so nothing you already have is affected.
Everything comes from a Trial Chamber
Breeze Rods, Breeze Shards, Breeze Crystals and Heavy Cores are the whole material list, and none of them are craftable from scratch. The detector needs two Heavy Cores, which means an ominous vault.
Breeze Rods now make Breeze Powder, one rod for two, the way Blaze Rods work. Since that gives rods a second job, Wind Charges move to a Fire Charge style recipe: a clay ball, gunpowder and Breeze Powder for three.
Grinding and brewing
Shears in your off hand and an ingot in your main hand, right click, and you get dust. Cheap ore grinds four at a time and barely marks the shears; netherite gives one and takes ten durability.
A Resonance Chamber, built like a brewing stand but burning Breeze Powder, turns that dust into bottled Attunement Liquid, three bottles at a time.
Focus beats capacity
Range depends on how many different liquids are loaded, not how full the tank is. One ore reaches 24 blocks down a 3x3 column; three or more reach 8 down a 7x7 one. A scan spends 1 mB for every ore block it finds, from that ore's own charge, so finding a lot costs a lot.
The tank holds three bottles across at most six ores. Draining into a cauldron gets a charge back out, and the Nullified Bucket carries it away.
Goggles
Wear them and a scan draws what it found through the rock, in the ore's own colour, for about twelve seconds. They show nothing on their own: only the blocks the detector already reported, and only as many as the liquid paid for.
Every look adds Strain, which fades on its own. Push it too far and you get Nausea and the goggles stop drawing until they settle. The detector itself is never blocked.
Guidance in game
An eleven step advancement tree lays out the whole progression.
Modded ores
Create's zinc grinds and detects like any vanilla ore, and the ore variants from Seamless Ores and Universal Ores count as the ore they are made of. All optional and detected automatically.
Optional dependencies
Projects on Modrinth are automatically available through a Maven repository for use with JVM build tools such as Gradle. To learn more about the Modrinth Maven API, click here.
Note: When available, you should use the creator's maven repo instead as it will have transitive dependency information that the Modrinth Maven API does not. You may also end up with duplicate dependencies if you use a mix of Modrinth and non-Modrinth Maven repositories for your dependencies, because the group identifier will be different when served through the Modrinth Maven API.
