📦 Paintball Mod – v1.8.0 Server Rifle Fire Rate Fix: Resolved an issue on servers where rifles were firing slower than intended.
Paintball Mob Translations: Fixed localized display names for paintball mobs (e.g., Zombie with paintball gear) that previously appeared as internal IDs such as PB_21821.
Projectile & Decision Roulette Translations: Added full translation support for all mod projectiles and Decision Roulette broadcast messages.
Original Recipe Restorations: Restored original crafting recipes for Insta-Bases, Remotes, Scanners, and Pods.
Insta-Base Spawn Point: Right-clicking with an Insta-Base now sets the player's spawn point upon structure creation (can be toggled in config).
Zombified Piglin Gear Fix: Removed Zombified Piglins from paintball gear spawn pools to prevent issues when traveling to the Nether; they will no longer spawn with paintball armor or weapons.
Team Friendly Fire Immunity:
Blue-armored mobs are now immune to explosion damage caused by blue grenades.
Mobs wearing blue armor no longer take damage when accidentally shot by other blue-teamed mobs.
Pellet Visual Synchronization: Fixed visual desync where shot pellets appeared off-target in both singleplayer and multiplayer before suddenly teleporting to their actual impact location.
Sniper Gravity & Impact Sync: Corrected client-side Sniper projectile gravity and improved hit registry synchronization without altering weapon damage or velocity.
Faithful Balance & Mechanics Updates:
Medkit: Now heals 5 hearts.
Weapon & Gear Racks: Cooldown after retrieving weapons or armor set to 60 seconds.
Pellet Range: Adjusted effective pellet ranges to match the original mod.
Rifle Cooldown: Set to 5 ticks between shots.
Sniper Cooldown: Set to 20 ticks between shots.
Flag Interaction: Flags can now be picked up via right-click while retaining full compatibility with the Paintbrush.
Expanded Cooldown & Fire Rate Configurations:
Added configuration options to customize Rifle fire rates alongside firing cooldowns for Pistols, Shotguns, Snipers, Launcher, and Grenades.
Added config options for dry-fire cooldowns (shooting without ammo) and paintball mob reload delays.
Added individual cooldown timers for Weapon Racks, Gear Racks, Pods, and Medkits.
Classic vs. Reload System Toggle: Added a configuration setting to choose between the port's default magazine/reload system and the classic original mod mechanics (firing ammunition directly from inventory without reloading).
Projects on Modrinth are automatically available through a Maven repository for use with JVM build tools such as Gradle. To learn more about the Modrinth Maven API, click here.
Note: When available, you should use the creator's maven repo instead as it will have transitive dependency information that the Modrinth Maven API does not. You may also end up with duplicate dependencies if you use a mix of Modrinth and non-Modrinth Maven repositories for your dependencies, because the group identifier will be different when served through the Modrinth Maven API.
