Changes
Paradigm 2.5.1
Vanish
- Reworked
/vanishto hide players from the world and TAB list, including their equipment and nameplates. - Staff with
paradigm.vanish.seecan still see vanished players. Visibility updates when their permissions change. - Hidden players are excluded from Paradigm's public player lists, name suggestions, nearby-player results, and public online counts.
- Vanished players no longer trigger public join and leave messages or Discord join and leave notifications.
- Improved restoration of saved Vanish preferences when players reconnect, and visibility cleanup during reloads and module disable.
- Vanish leaves players' gamemodes, God mode, and existing invisibility effects alone.
Fixes and improvements
- Explicitly denied permissions now take priority over operator fallback permissions.
- Fixed Dashboard permission checks for moderation actions and starting the Dashboard. Queued changes also respect permissions revoked before they run.
- Announcement and restart schedule changes made through the Dashboard now take effect without leaving old schedules running.
- Fixed
/sethomeaccidentally changing a player's first-join information or playtime. - Improved playtime saving and recovery after crashes or failed saves, and prevented servers sharing a database from overwriting each other's player updates.
- Improved handling of failed saves for administration preferences, including Vanish and God mode.
- Disabling God mode's module now removes its active protection correctly.
- Modules that fail to start can be retried without creating duplicate tasks or listeners.
- Improved random teleport safety checks around hazards, blocked spaces, and world borders.
- Fixed area checks at negative and fractional coordinates on Forge 1.18.2 and 1.19.2.
- Fixed normal and renamed-player join message suppression on Fabric.
- Fixed Fabric command handling to respect Minecraft's security checks, and improved chat and disconnect handling to avoid threading errors.
- Fixed namespaced and modded item names on older Fabric versions.
- Improved nested text formatting and centered messages.
- Fixed TAB compatibility on Forge 1.18.2, 1.19.2, and 1.20.1, along with hologram compatibility on Forge 1.20.1.
Forge 1.7.10
- Updated legacy Vanish so ordinary players cannot see hidden staff, while staff with the visibility permission retain access.
- Improved Vanish handling during login, reconnects, dimension changes, and TAB updates.
- Hidden players are also filtered from the vanilla player list and public server-list information.
- Fixed chat formatting, colors, clickable and hover text, and MOTD line breaks.
- Improved player-name completion and compatibility for menus and hologram interactions.
- Updated the development setup for the supported GTNH/RFB environment on modern Java.
Known limitations
- Vanish does not block item pickup, pressure plates, or vanilla death messages. Other mods may still expose player information through their own features.
Projects on Modrinth are automatically available through a Maven repository for use with JVM build tools such as Gradle. To learn more about the Modrinth Maven API, click here.
Note: When available, you should use the creator's maven repo instead as it will have transitive dependency information that the Modrinth Maven API does not. You may also end up with duplicate dependencies if you use a mix of Modrinth and non-Modrinth Maven repositories for your dependencies, because the group identifier will be different when served through the Modrinth Maven API.
