Bug Fix + Small Feature Additions
This release focuses on held-item display implementation, viewer-side sleep animation implementation, dependency clarity, and a few smaller stability/compatibility improvements.
New Features and Improvements
- Added transformed-player held item rendering support, allowing held items to appear correctly on compatible Pokémon models.
- Improved held item positioning and orientation across tested Pokémon forms.
- Added first-person held item support for transformed Pokémon where appropriate.
- Added first-person held-item hiding for mouth-held item Pokémon where the item would obstruct the camera, such as Arcanine and Eevee-style cases.
- Added proper viewer-side support for transformed sleep animations, so other players can now see transformed players sleeping correctly.
- Added a formal Cobblemon dependency requirement:
- PocketMorph now requires Cobblemon 1.7.0 or newer.
- Missing or outdated Cobblemon installs should now produce a clear Fabric Loader dependency error.
Bug Fixes
- Fixed issues with very-large Pokémon model transformations and block breaking.
- Fixed animation issues with a small list of Pokémon with sand-related animations.
Optimization and Stability
- Cleaned up and optimized the new sleep animation sync logic to reduce unnecessary packet and heartbeat behavior.
- Added safer state handling for late-joining viewers so sleeping transformed players can still sync correctly.
- Preserved existing camera, riding, raycast, hitbox, animation, lava, and held-item behavior from the previous stable release.
- Added clearer startup logging for detected Cobblemon version compatibility.
Compatibility
- Requires Minecraft/Fabric environment compatible with the existing PocketMorph release target.
- Requires Cobblemon 1.7.0 or newer.
- Tested with Cobblemon 1.7.3+1.21.1.
Projects on Modrinth are automatically available through a Maven repository for use with JVM build tools such as Gradle. To learn more about the Modrinth Maven API, click here.
Note: When available, you should use the creator's maven repo instead as it will have transitive dependency information that the Modrinth Maven API does not. You may also end up with duplicate dependencies if you use a mix of Modrinth and non-Modrinth Maven repositories for your dependencies, because the group identifier will be different when served through the Modrinth Maven API.
