Pokémon Editor 1.4.0
Version 1.4.0 focuses on safer saving, recoverable drafts, a more useful change review and a refreshed Pokémon preview.
Added
- Correlated save requests and server responses, including a visible waiting state and protection against duplicate submissions.
- A close-confirmation dialog with options to continue editing, save or discard the draft.
- Local JSON recovery drafts stored in
config/pokemon_editor/recovery/. - A complete grouped change review with scrolling, full values and per-field restoration.
- Pokémon type and gender badges on the preview card.
- An independent shiny preview and mouse-controlled model rotation.
- Shared save-protocol and recovery regression checks for both loader builds.
Changed
- Refreshed the editor with a graphite-and-teal interface, updated buttons, a clearer active-tab marker and an improved HP bar.
- The editor now closes only after the server confirms a successful save.
- Server errors keep the draft open so it can be corrected or recovered.
- IVs, EVs and moves are restored as complete groups from the review screen.
Fixed
- Fixed long field values, including UUIDs, being truncated to 32 characters.
- Fixed unsaved edits being lost when the game window was resized.
- Fixed review-screen keyboard shortcuts affecting the editor behind the review.
- Fixed cosmetic aspects being removed when optional appearance fields were absent.
- Added validation for malformed nested payloads and non-finite scale values before Pokémon data is mutated.
Important compatibility notice
Pokémon Editor 1.4.0 uses save protocol 2. The client and server must both be updated to 1.4.0. It is not compatible with Pokémon Editor 1.3.x during editing.

Projects on Modrinth are automatically available through a Maven repository for use with JVM build tools such as Gradle. To learn more about the Modrinth Maven API, click here.
Note: When available, you should use the creator's maven repo instead as it will have transitive dependency information that the Modrinth Maven API does not. You may also end up with duplicate dependencies if you use a mix of Modrinth and non-Modrinth Maven repositories for your dependencies, because the group identifier will be different when served through the Modrinth Maven API.
