Polestar 1.1.0 — NeoForge 26.2
Polestar is now available for NeoForge on Minecraft 26.2!
Changes
- Added NeoForge support for Minecraft 26.2.
- Improved North Star visibility detection. A roof directly above the player no longer hides the star when there is a clear line of sight toward it.
- Verified visibility behavior through glass, glass panes, tinted glass, and foliage.
- Preserved the original Spyglass navigation mechanics, sound feedback, and temporary compass rose.
- Maintained full client-side functionality without requiring server installation.
Compatibility
- Minecraft 26.2
- NeoForge 26.2
- Java 25
Testing
Validated in development client runs using both OpenGL and Vulkan, including navigation, weather, visibility, HUD rendering, and state resets.
Vulkan note: NeoForge 26.2 may require earlyWindowControl = false in config/fml.toml due to a known NeoForge startup issue.
No new items, blocks, or permanent HUD elements have been added.
Projects on Modrinth are automatically available through a Maven repository for use with JVM build tools such as Gradle. To learn more about the Modrinth Maven API, click here.
Note: When available, you should use the creator's maven repo instead as it will have transitive dependency information that the Modrinth Maven API does not. You may also end up with duplicate dependencies if you use a mix of Modrinth and non-Modrinth Maven repositories for your dependencies, because the group identifier will be different when served through the Modrinth Maven API.
