Portable API

Portable API is a cross-version, cross-loader Minecraft modding API that lets developers share common code across multiple Minecraft versions and mod loaders.

Supported Platforms

• Minecraft 1.20.1: Fabric and Forge
• Minecraft 1.21.1: Fabric and NeoForge

Portable API provides a shared foundation for registration, lifecycle hooks, platform services, and other loader-specific functionality, reducing duplicated code between mod versions.

For Players

Portable API does not add gameplay content by itself. Install the version matching your Minecraft version and mod loader when another mod lists it as a required dependency.
