1.5.0
Compatibility
Changes
1.5.0 Basically Hunting update
Added
Blowtorch
A handheld weapon/tool that deals continuous damage and ignites targets in front of the player.
- Only damages entities in the player’s look direction
- Currently works as a flamethrower, but will receive extended functionality as a proper tool in the next update
- Has a complex crafting recipe using flint and steel, multiple steel and nether coke
Whistle
A utility item for controlling animals.
- Groups nearby animals
- Moves them forward in the direction the player is looking
- Crafted from copper
- Designed as a herd-control tool (similar to bard-style control in games) but not overpowered
- Allows moving animals forward without the need to walk backwards with food
Bear Trap
A placeable trap that damages and slows entities.
- Triggers when stepped on and damages
- Applies strong slowness effect
- Can be reloaded after activation
- Another use for steel, crafted from steel and a steel pressure plate
Grass Cover
A camouflage pit trap block designed for.
- Breaks when stepped on without support below
- Will not break if there is a block underneath, allowing it to be used for decoration if needed
- Despite being very similar to grass, the texture is still slightly darker, so if poorly hidden it is obviously noticeable
- Still subject to changes as it was added alongside the bear trap
Changes
Steel based textures have been fully rewamped:
- Improved visual and palette consistency between items and blocks (steel now finally has its own distinct palette that I'm satisfied with, so its unlikely to change in the near future)
Minor visual tweaks across multiple assets
Fixes
- Fixed client-side code being loaded on server so multiplayer now works correctly
- Fixed minor bugs and inconsistencies
Projects on Modrinth are automatically available through a Maven repository for use with JVM build tools such as Gradle. To learn more about the Modrinth Maven API, click here.
Note: When available, you should use the creator's maven repo instead as it will have transitive dependency information that the Modrinth Maven API does not. You may also end up with duplicate dependencies if you use a mix of Modrinth and non-Modrinth Maven repositories for your dependencies, because the group identifier will be different when served through the Modrinth Maven API.
