1.7.0 Platinum Update
Added
Platinum — A Strange New Nether Metal
Unlike ordinary platinum from real life, its Nether counterpart is distorted by the Nether's strange nature, giving it unusual properties that will be explored in future updates.
For now, Platinum serves as a side-grade in progression.
- Added Nether Platinum Ore
- Added Platinum Ingot, Platinum Nugget, and Raw Platinum
- Added Platinum Block and Raw Platinum Block
- Added a full set of Platinum Tools and Armor
Nether Platinum Ore Generation:
- Generates rarely throughout the Nether at Y levels 80–125
- More common in Warped Forests at Y levels 40–125, generating in larger clusters
Platinum Equipment/New Acceleration Feature
Platinum equipment gains Acceleration levels as it loses durability, gradually improving its stats.
Platinum Tools:
- Durability: 525
- Base stats similar to Iron Tools
- Each Acceleration level increases mining speed
- Swords gain attack speed with each Acceleration level
Platinum Armor:
- Each Acceleration level grants a movement speed bonus
Full stats will be included in the mod description. Until then, feel free to experiment and discover them yourself! ;)
Miscellaneous:
- Added the Training Arrow
- Deals no damage to mobs, making it suitable for practice
- Crafted like a regular Arrow, using Leather Scraps instead of Flint
Changes
Climbing Pick:
- Significantly increased charge speed after the previous update's nerf
- Holding a Climbing Pick in each hand allows you to climb much faster and reach greater heights, though this will consume the durability of both. Time to become a real climber!
Blowtorch:
- Can now ignite fires, activating Nether Portals, TNT, and other fire-based mechanics
Loot Changes:
- Increased the Diamond Upgrade Smithing Template's spawn chance to 40% in all supported structures
- Added Pillager Outposts as a new loot location
Miscellaneous:
- Further polished textures to better match the vanilla Minecraft style
- Improved item sorting in the mod's Creative Mode tab
- Smithing Templates now display the required items for Diamond Upgrades in the Smithing Table
Fixes
- Fixed Steel Chains and other blocks from the previous update being impossible to mine (sorry about that!)
- Fixed the Flicker Lamp getting stuck at one light level after rejoining a world
- Fixed broken Diamond Upgrade recipes and crafting issues that prevented Diamond equipment from being crafted
- Fixed the Smithing Template tooltip and other item tooltips
- Fixed Climbing Pick attachments not producing the attached block's sounds and particles
- Fixed armor being impossible to enchant (still can't believe I missed this one!)
Thanks to everyone who takes the time to report bugs and share feedback. It really helps me make the mod better!
Projects on Modrinth are automatically available through a Maven repository for use with JVM build tools such as Gradle. To learn more about the Modrinth Maven API, click here.
Note: When available, you should use the creator's maven repo instead as it will have transitive dependency information that the Modrinth Maven API does not. You may also end up with duplicate dependencies if you use a mix of Modrinth and non-Modrinth Maven repositories for your dependencies, because the group identifier will be different when served through the Modrinth Maven API.
