Changes
Infinity 8.0
7.3 to 8.0. The mod went from a Palladium addon pack with KubeJS scripts to a standard Java mod, and almost everything changed on the way.
Highlights
- Rebuilt from the ground up as a standard Java mod (still a Palladium addon). Faster, more reliable and needs far fewer other mods
- Around 25 new abilities across the stones
- New gauntlet: any stone fits any slot, its own stone menu on G, stones stay on the gauntlet item, skins belong to the gauntlet
- New Snap: four separate abilities you press twice to confirm, and Kill Half really kills now
- Space Stone portals rebuilt, see-through portals with Immersive Portals, and a Tesseract that jumps between dimensions
- All commands moved under /infinity, with new admin commands
- JSON systems for custom stones, skins, gauntlets, ground items and skill tree themes
Requirements
- Required: Palladium, GeckoLib, Chrono API, Pehkui
- No longer needed: KubeJS, CoreWithStuff, Pantheon Sent, Colourful Hearts, Huge Structure Blocks
- Curios API is now optional (recommended)
- Immersive Portals is optional and adds see-through Space Stone portals
- Infinity Protocol turns ten nanotech suits from Satsu's Iron Man Addon and Fsang's Heropack into proper custom gauntlets that keep their stones on the suit
The Infinity Gauntlet
- Own stone menu, any stone fits any slot, addon stones included
- Opens with G, or right-click in the main hand
- Stones are stored on the gauntlet item, so they go wherever it goes
- Gives powers from the off hand or Curios hands
- 19 skins (new: Cheeselander and the Burnt Gauntlet), now belonging to the gauntlet
- Any item or power can be a gauntlet through custom gauntlet files (replaces the built-in Omnitrix and Black Panther necklace support)
- Tooltip shows its stones properly
- New first-person look based on Lucraft Core's
- Fixed the syncing problems from 7.3
The Snap
- The five-option Snap wheel is now four abilities: Kill Half of All Entities, Kill All Hostile, Kill Other Players and Destroy Stones
- Each one needs pressing twice within 3 seconds
- Kill Half turns the snapped half to dust instead of sending them to the Soulworld
- Kill All Hostile and Kill Other Players still send targets to a locked cell in the Soulworld
- Removed Bring Back the Snapped
- Destroy Stones is a 7 second ritual with a burst for each stone, and earns Peace in our Time
- The burn is unchanged: half a heart and locked abilities for a Minecraft day
The Stones
- All six stones work in the Curios head slot (only the Mind Stone did in 7.3)
- Stones glow brighter while using their abilities, as do the Scepter, Aether and Eye of Agamotto
- Aims, beams and arm effects come from the hand holding the stone or container, left-handed players included
- Skill tree prices scale with ability strength: 1 to 4 Aspects of Existence for everyday abilities, 32 for big ones like Black Hole, Meteor Storm and Freeze Time
- Each stone's skill tree has its own color, and most passives have a free toggle
- The Power Stone's power ID is now infinity:power_stone (was infinity:power_stone_passive)
Power Stone
- New: Impower, a damaging bolt that scales with power level (replaces the old Health Boost and Resistance version)
- New: Super Punch, Rocket Burst and Power Cyclone
- Changed: Cosmic Explosion is now the unlock for Rocket Burst and Power Cyclone instead of a ring of TNT
- Changed: Meteor Storm breaks a moon apart over the spot you look at, sized by power level
- Changed: at full power, Power Blast explodes where it hits instead of summoning TNT
- Changed: holding the bare stone makes it unstable and fires rockets around you instead of TNT and Wither
Space Stone
- New: Jump Teleport, a portal pair to the block you look at (replaces look-at Teleport)
- New: Spatial Lock freezes whatever you hold with Telekinesis in place
- Removed: the Teleport Command and /space_tp. The rebuilt Teleport menu does the same job
- Changed: Telekinesis picks up blocks as well as mobs, is a toggle, and throws what you hold like a projectile
- Changed: Black Hole follows where you look and can be thrown
- Changed: the tree starts at Force Field, and portals work with Immersive Portals
Reality Stone
- Changed: Block Duplication is now Copy Block and Paste Block. Copy any block, then turn other blocks or everything around you into it
- Removed: Effects
Soul Stone
- New: Soul Storage, Soul Heal and Soul Drain. Store up to 50 souls from kills, spend them on healing, or pull the soul out of a mob
- Changed: Exit Soulworld returns everyone to the exact spot they came from
- Changed: Effect Immunity stops bad effects from being applied at all
Time Stone
- Changed: Projectile Stop catches every projectile within 6 blocks, holds it while near you and releases it 2 seconds after
- Changed: the Time Command uses /infinity time set and always moves time forward
- Changed: Slow Time and Freeze Time use Chrono API directly and keep you moving at normal speed
Mind Stone
- New: Clones, Mind Reading and Disguise
- Changed: Intangibility has a 10 second cooldown
Containers and Items
- Cosmi-Rod: one rod with a socket for any stone, addon stones included, plus a new Shockwave ability
- Orb: random combination per world, with its length set in the config
- Eye of Agamotto: one animated Eye you open, take the stone from and put back. Every Eye shows whether the world's Time Stone is in it. If it breaks, the stone drops
- Scepter: if it breaks from durability, the Mind Stone drops
- Tesseract: right-click to jump to the next dimension, opens with a burst of rays
- Aether: lids swing open and red light pours out first
- Dropped stones and containers are proper ground items that can't be destroyed, and stones are rescued from the void
- Tesseract, Aether and Cosmi-Rod lie on the floor in structures as ground items. The Scepter hangs full size in an invisible frame
- Telephone finds the Soul Guardian wherever it is, and it always gets home
- New: Temple Beacon
- New: shared materials. The same metal from different mods works in every recipe, no Recipe Unification or KubeJS needed
- Removed: the old Black Hole item
Commands
- Removed /space_tp, use the Teleport menu
- /time_set is now /infinity time set
- /locateplayer is now /infinity soul locateentity, which finds named mobs too
- /unlockstones is now /infinity unlock_stones and /infinity lock_stones
- /unlock_orb is now /infinity unlock_orb
- New: /infinity ability, /infinity gauntlet snap, /infinity gauntlet skin, /infinity orb, /infinity soulguardian, /infinity summon malekith, /infinity soul zombies and /infinity locate_real
Worlds and Exploration
- Vormir's Edge is built one chunk at a time as you explore, so Huge Structure Blocks isn't needed
- The Garden is now a planet in Ad Astra too
- The Morag Temple generates dry and fully under the sea, so its redstone works
- Fake structures share the real ones' IDs, so /locate and Explorer's Compass can't tell them apart
- Soul Guardian explorer maps always show the real structure in its own dimension. The Morag, Aether Chamber and Sanctuary maps no longer come out blank
- Whether the Power Stone and Time Stone were taken is stored in world save data instead of a barrier block on Morag
- Six new advancements, including a hidden one
- Old 7.3 worlds are converted when they load
For Addon Makers and Server Owners
- Custom stones, gauntlet skins, custom gauntlets with their own menus, ground items, glowing stone containers and skill tree themes, all from JSON in your own namespace
- Immunities: mental, reality, soul and spatial immunity as abilities, conditions, tags and a Java API
- 48 ability types and 18 conditions for your own Palladium powers
- A config file, with switches for real and fake structures
- /infinity ability disable to switch any ability off on a server

Projects on Modrinth are automatically available through a Maven repository for use with JVM build tools such as Gradle. To learn more about the Modrinth Maven API, click here.
Note: When available, you should use the creator's maven repo instead as it will have transitive dependency information that the Modrinth Maven API does not. You may also end up with duplicate dependencies if you use a mix of Modrinth and non-Modrinth Maven repositories for your dependencies, because the group identifier will be different when served through the Modrinth Maven API.
