PvP Hit Counter 1.0.7
First public release for Minecraft 1.21.11 (Fabric). Client-only PvP HUD. Does not change combat, knockback, reach, or damage — it only counts what already happens in a duel and shows it on screen.
What it tracks
Only player-vs-player melee hits (sword / axe style player_attack damage).
For every landed hit the mod records:
| Type | Meaning |
|---|---|
| Wtap | Sprint hit (Ctrl / sprint knockback style) |
| Splash | Normal melee hit without sprint or crit |
| Crit | Jump / fall critical hit |
| It also tracks damage dealt and taken during the fight (HP + absorption lost after PvP hits). | |
| Your hits and the opponent's hits are counted separately, so you always see the duel score: you vs them. |
Display modes
Cycle with K (default), or change in Mod Menu.
1. Minimal
Compact duel score:
1 | 3
Left = your hits, right = enemy hits.
2. Full
Two-column breakdown:
My Hits: Enemy Hits:
Wtap: 0 Wtap: 0
Splash: 0 Splash: 0
Crits: 0 Crits: 0
Total: 0 Total: 0
3. Damage
Total HP lost in the fight:
My Damage: 12.5
Enemy Damage: 18.0
Useful when hit count is close but one side is winning on hearts.
How opponent crits are detected
Your own crits are classified from local attack state (airborne / fall crit rules).
Opponent crits are harder: remote fallDistance is often already 0 by the time the client sees the hit. This release uses the server critical hit animation packet on the victim, and if the hit was first counted as splash/wtap, it is reclassified to crit when that packet arrives.

Optional dependencies
Projects on Modrinth are automatically available through a Maven repository for use with JVM build tools such as Gradle. To learn more about the Modrinth Maven API, click here.
Note: When available, you should use the creator's maven repo instead as it will have transitive dependency information that the Modrinth Maven API does not. You may also end up with duplicate dependencies if you use a mix of Modrinth and non-Modrinth Maven repositories for your dependencies, because the group identifier will be different when served through the Modrinth Maven API.
