🔪 Real Knife v2.5.0 - The "Determination" Update
This is the biggest update yet! We have completely rewritten the projectile physics and added legendary new combat mechanics.
✨ New Features & Mechanics
- Supreme Auto-Parry System: The knife now passively protects you! Enemy projectiles (arrows, fireballs, etc.) within a 5-block radius are automatically intercepted and destroyed in mid-air by phantom knives.
- Fan Attack (AoE): Holding right-click now summons a stunning visual array of up to 14 knives in a "V" formation behind your back.
- Area of Effect Damage: Upon releasing the attack, the knives fly towards their marked targets and explode on impact, dealing massive AoE damage in a 3-block radius.
🎨 Visuals & Immersion
- True Projectile Flight: Knives no longer instantly teleport to targets. You can now see them flying rapidly through the air!
- Dynamic Warning Marks: The
[ ! ]target markers now flash aggressively in native rendering for an intense combat feel. - New Sound Effects: Added custom
.oggsounds for the warning mark loop and the satisfying sound of knives slicing through the air (knife_fly).
🐛 Bug Fixes
- Anti-Suicide Patch: Fixed a critical bug where summoned knives would spawn too close to the player's hitbox and instantly kill the user. You are now 100% safe from your own attacks.
- Fixed a rendering issue where missing transparency data caused particle textures to appear as broken purple/black squares.
- Fixed network syncing (
velocityModified) to ensure smooth projectile rendering between server and client.

Projects on Modrinth are automatically available through a Maven repository for use with JVM build tools such as Gradle. To learn more about the Modrinth Maven API, click here.
Note: When available, you should use the creator's maven repo instead as it will have transitive dependency information that the Modrinth Maven API does not. You may also end up with duplicate dependencies if you use a mix of Modrinth and non-Modrinth Maven repositories for your dependencies, because the group identifier will be different when served through the Modrinth Maven API.
