2.0.0+neoforge-1.21.1
Compatibility
Changes
Supported MC Versions: 26.2, 26.1.2, 1.21.1 (NeoForge/Fabric), 1.20.1 (Forge/Fabric)
Odyssey Map is now Remnants Minimap (mod id remnantminimaps, package io.nightbeam.remnantminimaps),
rebuilt from scratch around an Elden Ring style map.
New
- Parchment cartography: muted palette, relief shading, contour lines, engraved water, ink coastlines, building footprints and roads. Classic and vivid palettes available.
- Explored terrain is saved per world and dimension and fades into fog at its edges.
- Round gilded minimap (or square chart) with smooth sub-pixel rotation and scrolling, animated zoom, cardinal letters, time of day, coordinates and optional biome.
- Full-screen world map with inertia panning, zoom toward the cursor, overview tiles for far zoom levels, compass rose, day-cycle dial, scale bar, control hints and cloud corners.
- Beacons (left click on the world map), marker menu (right click), Sites of Grace and 30 marker emblems.
- Grace and marker list with search and category filters.
- Pillars of light in the world for beacons, graces and bloodstains, pulled to the horizon when far away.
- Automatic bloodstain markers on death and a resting-place marker at your last bed.
- Radar for players and, optionally, hostile and passive mobs.
- New settings screen; also reachable from the NeoForge and Forge mod lists.
Changed
- Uses the official Fabric, NeoForge and Forge HUD, key mapping, chunk and level-render hooks; the only mixins left are a GUI accessor on 26.x and a HUD hook below the chat on Fabric 1.21.1 and 1.20.1.
- Minecraft 26.2, 26.1.2, 1.21.1 and 1.20.1 are supported in this release, with the same features and data formats.
Upgrade Notes
- Remove
odysseymap-*.jarand install the matchingremnantminimaps-*.jar. - Settings and waypoints from Odyssey Map are not migrated; the map is rebuilt as you explore.
Projects on Modrinth are automatically available through a Maven repository for use with JVM build tools such as Gradle. To learn more about the Modrinth Maven API, click here.
Note: When available, you should use the creator's maven repo instead as it will have transitive dependency information that the Modrinth Maven API does not. You may also end up with duplicate dependencies if you use a mix of Modrinth and non-Modrinth Maven repositories for your dependencies, because the group identifier will be different when served through the Modrinth Maven API.
