Roleta Noturna 1.4.48 — Survivor Intelligence and Safety Update
This important update substantially expands and stabilizes the Lost Survivor and Resident Survivor AI.
Survivor intelligence
- Resident Survivors actively search for suitable terrain instead of waiting indefinitely.
- Added long-range food planning through hunting, expanded lake searches, reliable fishing rewards, and farming fallback.
- Fishing catches now enter the survivor inventory directly, preventing unreachable-item loops.
- Added partial healing from food and resting, plus recovery as an idle priority when health is incomplete.
- Improved construction planning, blocked-step recovery, snow handling, water escape, and navigation watchdogs.
- Added deliberate swimming across lakes while searching for suitable land, with proper swimming speed and animation.
Shelter and housing
- Added an emergency three-block underground night shelter with a dirt cap and staircase exit at dawn.
- Fixed repeated or uncovered emergency shafts and ensured the shelter remains sealed throughout the night.
- Added a larger villager-inspired second house built progressively from gathered materials.
- After completing house two, residents transfer their belongings and dismantle the starter house.
- Added recovery when construction angles, terrain, doors, or house-two placement become unreachable.
- Fixed repeated door-opening and door-closing sounds.
Combat
- Both survivor types now use bows against visible enemies separated by gaps, height differences, flight, or an unreachable land route.
- Archers maintain distance and recover correctly after fighting aquatic enemies.
- Improved shore positioning and recovery after combat in water.
- Aggressive chickens now abandon stalled targets, restart broken navigation, and acquire another hostile creature.
Rendering and safety
- Corrected legacy survivor skin layouts that caused clipped or misplaced body textures.
- Hardened random-item rewards from blessed eggs and Golden Cats. Command-block minecarts, operator blocks, spawn eggs, structure tools, spawners, test blocks, and modded registry items are excluded.
- Added a second safety check immediately before random rewards enter the world.
- Fixed a Resident Survivor construction crash caused by continuing a build tick after releasing an invalid home.
Compatibility
- Minecraft Java Edition 26.2
- NeoForge 26.2
- No additional dependencies required
The project code and publishing materials received substantial generative-AI assistance. Original gameplay captures are used for project media.
Projects on Modrinth are automatically available through a Maven repository for use with JVM build tools such as Gradle. To learn more about the Modrinth Maven API, click here.
Note: When available, you should use the creator's maven repo instead as it will have transitive dependency information that the Modrinth Maven API does not. You may also end up with duplicate dependencies if you use a mix of Modrinth and non-Modrinth Maven repositories for your dependencies, because the group identifier will be different when served through the Modrinth Maven API.
