Changes
What's Changed in v1.2.0
β‘ Movement & Immersion
- Smooth Speed Transitions: Added a 15-tick grace period and broad bounding-box checks for the path speed boost, eliminating jarring camera/FOV jitter when transitioning over slabs, stairs, jumps, and 1-block road gaps.
- Dynamic Path Refresh: Walking on existing dirt paths now refreshes their decay timestamp, preventing active, frequented paths from decaying.
- Concurrent Modification Fix: Safely queued decay reverts during level ticks, preventing server crashes during mass path decay.
π Internationalization
- Multi-Language Support: Added complete in-game and mod menu localizations for 9 languages:
- πΊπΈ English (
en_us) - π©πͺ German (
de_de) - πͺπΈ Spanish (
es_es) - π«π· French (

π Licensing & Permissions
- Modpack Permissions: Modpacks are now explicitly permitted to include Safepaths freely without asking, provided proper credit and a link to the project repository are given. Standalone re-uploading and distribution of modified binaries remain restricted under All Rights Reserved.
π οΈ Code Quality & Tests
- Cleaned up IDE code inspections and suppressed false alarms across event subscribers and GameTests.
- Streamlined test suite helpers for automated verification.

Optional dependencies
Any compatible version
Projects on Modrinth are automatically available through a Maven repository for use with JVM build tools such as Gradle. To learn more about the Modrinth Maven API, click here.
Note: When available, you should use the creator's maven repo instead as it will have transitive dependency information that the Modrinth Maven API does not. You may also end up with duplicate dependencies if you use a mix of Modrinth and non-Modrinth Maven repositories for your dependencies, because the group identifier will be different when served through the Modrinth Maven API.
