Scotopic 0.1 ALPHA
A darkness overhaul for Minecraft 26.1.2 (Fabric). Replaces the vanilla brightness slider with a post-processing effect modelled on human night vision: your eyes adapt to the dark over a few seconds, colour drains to grey, blacks lift toward a faint slate-blue (eigengrau), and bright light resets you to blind again.
Features
- Smooth dark-adaptation with configurable fade in/out
- Fully tunable in-game via Mod Menu (brightness, grain, blur, desaturation, tint, contrast, timing, and more)
- Client-side and server-safe
Requires: Fabric Loader + Fabric API, Java 25+, and optionally Mod Menu for settings.
Early alpha. Defaults assume the middle Brightness setting within video settings; Bright/Moody players should retune as they see fit via Mod Menu.
Projects on Modrinth are automatically available through a Maven repository for use with JVM build tools such as Gradle. To learn more about the Modrinth Maven API, click here.
Note: When available, you should use the creator's maven repo instead as it will have transitive dependency information that the Modrinth Maven API does not. You may also end up with duplicate dependencies if you use a mix of Modrinth and non-Modrinth Maven repositories for your dependencies, because the group identifier will be different when served through the Modrinth Maven API.
