Seismica v1.6.0 — Big Update
New Commands
/seismica spawn foreshock — fires a precursor, then a larger mainshock at the same fault 10-12 minutes later /seismica spawn aftershock — adds an aftershock beside the last mainshock /seismica spawn micro — a single background tremor (M1.0-M2.6) /seismica spawn natural now produces a standalone event with no precursor or aftershock sequence
Live Estimates
Every device now publishes a revised solution as the event unfolds. A first reading is badly wrong (M3.8 for what turns out to be M5.2), climbs onto the true size over the next few updates, then keeps stepping a tenth either side of it — a solution never fully locks Magnitude, depth and located epicentre all drift and settle independently All equipment agrees on the same published numbers; a seismograph, radar and broadcaster no longer contradict each other Readings freeze once the shaking is over — the last published solution stays on the list instead of vanishing or continuing to age
Analysis Models
Advanced Radar can license an analysis model: Basic AI (1 diamond) or Pro AI (5 diamonds) Pro converges faster and wanders less; Basic commits later and stays looser Standard radars and broadcasters always run the basic model; the handheld Richter Meter is looser still, as a single-sensor pocket instrument should be
Radar Interface
Event list down the right of the scope, showing every quake on the display with its latest solution Full MMI colour key down the left (advanced tier) Info card in the top-left with the headline event: intensity at the epicentre, magnitude, depth, distance and position Advanced rows carry an intensity band and depth; standard rows list magnitude and location
Audio
Distinct tones as an estimate crosses M2.5, M4.0, M5.5 and M6.5 Separate chimes for locating a new event and for each published revision A dedicated alarm for a significant quake that arrives with no warning sequence at all — nothing in the previous 12 minutes Heavy rumble two seconds into any M6.5+ event Ground-cracking roar as a fault tears open Four building-collapse variants, plus material-specific debris for stone, timber and soil
Simulation
Earthquake magnitudes now drawn from a weighted table, with the wait before each one scaled to its size — a great quake needs days of built-up stress, a small one comes around quickly Micro-quakes run on their own clock every 10-15 minutes and never delay the scheduled events Foreshocks scale with the mainshock they precede rather than being a token tremor Aftershock sequences no longer collapse into a run of identical minimum-magnitude events Depth distribution reworked; hypocentres now sit at realistic crustal depths instead of piling up near the surface Depth matters far more to surface intensity — a shallow M7 is devastating where a deep one of the same size is merely strong
Fixes
Player movement during a quake no longer launches you across the map; jumping mid-shake is a nudge rather than a catapult Flying players are now shaken in place instead of being skipped entirely Animals bolt from the epicentre from MMI II upward Radar contact lists now persist across sessions instead of clearing on world reload /seismica stop clears queued mainshocks as well as active events /seismica list shows the next scheduled quake's magnitude and any mainshock waiting behind a foreshock Radar rendering rewritten — opening a scope no longer causes frame drops Terrain map scales with radar zoom

Projects on Modrinth are automatically available through a Maven repository for use with JVM build tools such as Gradle. To learn more about the Modrinth Maven API, click here.
Note: When available, you should use the creator's maven repo instead as it will have transitive dependency information that the Modrinth Maven API does not. You may also end up with duplicate dependencies if you use a mix of Modrinth and non-Modrinth Maven repositories for your dependencies, because the group identifier will be different when served through the Modrinth Maven API.
