Added
- Quick server switching from any loaded world or server using the F8 key.
- Custom saved server list separate from the vanilla multiplayer list.
- In-game add/remove controls and one-click reconnect actions.
- Config-backed storage in
config/serverswitcher_servers.json.
Known Bugs
- The switcher will not open while on the title screen or when no world is loaded because the client exits early if
client.world == null. - Invalid or malformed server addresses are silently rejected after parsing, so a broken entry can do nothing instead of showing a clear error.
- The reconnect logic depends on reflection against Mojang's
ConnectScreen.connect(...), which may fail on future Minecraft versions if the method signature changes. - There is no edit feature for saved entries; users must remove and re-add a server if they want to correct a name or address.
- The screen intentionally avoids opening over other menu screens, so it may not appear during certain UI states while other overlays are active.
- If a server entry uses a missing port or an unparseable address, it can be saved but cannot connect successfully.
Notes
- The mod is designed as a client-side convenience feature and does not integrate with the vanilla server list.
- Compatibility depends on the Minecraft version and the current
ConnectScreenmethod signature in the target Fabric environment.
Projects on Modrinth are automatically available through a Maven repository for use with JVM build tools such as Gradle. To learn more about the Modrinth Maven API, click here.
Note: When available, you should use the creator's maven repo instead as it will have transitive dependency information that the Modrinth Maven API does not. You may also end up with duplicate dependencies if you use a mix of Modrinth and non-Modrinth Maven repositories for your dependencies, because the group identifier will be different when served through the Modrinth Maven API.
