A few of the most common requests for beacons have been added, to update and power them up in a balanced and vanilla way.
- Copper Ingots can be used as beacon payment items. Why were these left out?
- Copper Blocks can be used for beacon base blocks. To balance for Copper's abundance, this only includes the regular Copper Block and it's waxed form, and with no oxidation. You'll have to maintain your Copper to use it!
- Larger Range! Beacon range has always been too small, so now it can be increased! Scaling factor default is 16 (Normally 10 in vanilla), but can configured to up to 20!. This range is also a circular radius, instead of cuboid.
- Block Material Scaling has been added, giving you a reason to use higher tier materials for your beacon pyramid.
- Iron, Gold, Copper: Grant level 1 effects.
- Diamond & Emerald: Grant level 2 effects.
- Netherite: Grant level 3 effects. Very powerful, but for an entire pyramid level being made out of Netherite, it's deserved. Can be disabled in settings, which will make it grant level 2 effects instead.
- Note: At pyramid layer 4, this does change the level of Regeneration, but NOT the effect level up, in order to keep things balanced. That still only grants effect level 2, if it wasn't already granted.
- Additionally, if granted level Haste level 3 from Netherite, Netherite/Gold pickaxes with Efficiency 5 can now Instant-Mine Deepslate, since that's a very common request. Can be disabled in settings.
Settings in Minecraft versions before Dialog menus existed can be configured by running the beacon_rework:settings function.
