- Charcoal pit mechanic: bury logs in non-flammable blocks and light them with flint and steel or a fire charge
- Fire spreads through a touching pile of logs from a single ignition point
- Sealed pits vent smoke from the top surface while charring
- Dynamic cook time that scales with the number of logs in the pit
- Charcoal Pile result block (shovel-fast) that drops 1–2 charcoal, boosted by Fortune
- Uncovered burning logs burn away after
