Changes
Added: āļø Gameplay Config All gameplay numbers now live in a server-side config file (forgesimpledash-gameplay.toml) instead of being hardcoded. You can now tune:
- Stamina: base maximum, regeneration rate, regeneration delay, Stamina Boost bonus per armor piece
- Dash: cost, cooldown, impulse strength, vertical boost, air charges, on/off
- Double Jump: cost, impulse, on/off
- Sprint: stamina drain while sprinting (off by default)
- Feedback: message and sound when you run out of stamina šØ Dash Now Keeps Your Momentum Dash used to replace your velocity completely, so you lost sprint speed and had no control over your direction mid-dash. The impulse is now added to your current movement, so:
- sprinting into a dash keeps your sprint speed
- you can steer the dash by turning your camera while dashing
- air dashes keep your fall speed instead of resetting it šŖ Double Jump No Longer Cancels Your Height The double jump used to set your vertical speed to a fixed value, which made you lose height when jumping from a sprint or off a ledge. It now uses the higher of your current speed and the configured impulse. ā³ Stamina Regeneration Delay Stamina now takes a moment to come back after you spend it ā the bar pauses for a couple of seconds, so the cost of each action actually matters. Default is 40 ticks (2 seconds). Set regenDelayTicks = 0 to restore the old behaviour. š¢ Feedback When You Run Out of Stamina Trying to dash or double jump with insufficient stamina used to fail silently. Now you get a message above your hotbar and a sound. š Multiple Air Dashes airCharges sets how many dashes you can perform in the air before touching the ground. Default is 1, same as before. Set it to 2 or 3 to chain dashes in the air. š Sprint Drain (optional) A new option makes sprinting consume stamina. When your stamina hits zero you are forced to stop sprinting. Off by default. Fixed:
- The dash and double jump sound played twice for the player who used it ā now it plays once
- Removed unused internal state
Projects on Modrinth are automatically available through a Maven repository for use with JVM build tools such as Gradle. To learn more about the Modrinth Maven API, click here.
Note: When available, you should use the creator's maven repo instead as it will have transitive dependency information that the Modrinth Maven API does not. You may also end up with duplicate dependencies if you use a mix of Modrinth and non-Modrinth Maven repositories for your dependencies, because the group identifier will be different when served through the Modrinth Maven API.
