0.2.1
Compatibility
Changes
π SlotZero v0.2.1 β Stability & Sync Update
This update focuses on multiplayer stability, synchronization reliability, and dedicated server compatibility.
π New Features
π Authoritative Multiplayer Weight Sync
Weight tooltips now work correctly in multiplayer environments.
The server now automatically synchronizes its master weight registry to all connected clients, ensuring:
- accurate item weights
- consistent encumbrance calculations
- reliable multiplayer behavior
No more missing weights or incorrect fallback values on dedicated servers.
π§ Smarter Material Resolution
The weight engine can now intelligently resolve recipe Tags such as:
#minecraft:logs#forge:ingots
When multiple valid ingredients exist, SlotZero now selects the lightest compatible material during calculations for more balanced and deterministic results.
π οΈ Fixes & Stability Improvements
β Fixed Dedicated Server Startup Crashes
Resolved a critical bootstrap issue that could prevent dedicated servers from starting correctly.
SlotZero now properly supports dedicated server environments.
βοΈ Improved Deterministic Weight Calculation
Fixed a rare issue where some item weights could slightly change between game launches.
The new generational solver now guarantees stable and predictable calculations every startup.
π‘ Improved Network Reliability
Hardened packet synchronization between client and server.
This reduces:
- sync inconsistencies
- rare network desyncs
- multiplayer-related crashes
π§Ή General Codebase Cleanup
- Improved null safety
- Additional internal stability improvements
- Better long-term compatibility with modded environments
π Note for Server Owners
Both the server and all connected clients must use SlotZero v0.2.1 for the new synchronization system to function correctly.
Projects on Modrinth are automatically available through a Maven repository for use with JVM build tools such as Gradle. To learn more about the Modrinth Maven API, click here.
Note: When available, you should use the creator's maven repo instead as it will have transitive dependency information that the Modrinth Maven API does not. You may also end up with duplicate dependencies if you use a mix of Modrinth and non-Modrinth Maven repositories for your dependencies, because the group identifier will be different when served through the Modrinth Maven API.
