Changes
What's new in SmartEX 2.0 beta:
- Shader Smoke (VFX 3.0): Smoke is no longer static; it now bursts out in a sphere and smoothly drifts into the sky, creating a realistic volumetric effect.
- Concussion Effect: Close-range explosions now cause more than just camera shake — they trigger ear ringing (tinnitus) and temporary blinding.
- Debris Physics: Blocks no longer simply disappear. They scatter in all directions as physical objects that can deal damage.
- Destruction Balance: While the visual effects are more powerful, the block-breaking radius has been reduced to prevent you from accidentally destroying half the world with a single TNT.
- Sound Engine: The standard explosion sound has been replaced with a heavy, low-frequency blast.
Projects on Modrinth are automatically available through a Maven repository for use with JVM build tools such as Gradle. To learn more about the Modrinth Maven API, click here.
Note: When available, you should use the creator's maven repo instead as it will have transitive dependency information that the Modrinth Maven API does not. You may also end up with duplicate dependencies if you use a mix of Modrinth and non-Modrinth Maven repositories for your dependencies, because the group identifier will be different when served through the Modrinth Maven API.
