📝Description

The alpha version of Sodium Delight introduces a simple yet effective Level of Detail (LOD) system aimed at optimizing rendering in areas with dense plant growth, such as large automated farms. Crops and plants beyond a set range are replaced with simplified cube placeholders, significantly reducing the rendering complexity without affecting functionality.

This technique is particularly beneficial in farms with a variety of crops from mods like Farmer’s Delight, where rendering every individual plant can strain performance. By focusing on reducing GPU load, the alpha version provides a modest performance boost of 2-3 FPS in such scenarios. It ensures smoother gameplay while maintaining the visual clarity of crops near the player.

This feature is an early step in creating more advanced optimization solutions to handle visually intensive environments in Sodium Delight.
