Sol's Title System
A rich title progression system. Players earn titles by completing in-game achievements β slaying mobs, surviving, or defeating powerful bosses. Each title displays above the player's head and in chat, and can grant unique stat buffs while equipped.
1.21.11-v1.4.6
Compatibility
Changes
v1.4.6
New Features
Title Vanity
- Added Title Vanity. You can now display one unlocked title cosmetically while keeping another title equipped for its stat bonuses.
- Select an unlocked title from your collection and enable Vanity to use its appearance in chat, the player list, nameplates, and cosmetic aura effects without gaining its bonuses.
- Disable Vanity at any time to display your functional title again.
Title Collection Sorting
- The Title Collection can now switch between ID sorting and rarity sorting.
- Servers can configure the default sorting mode.
- ID sorting is enabled by default.
Changes & Improvements
Commands
- All Title System commands now use
/sol titlesystem, including/sol titlesystem reload. - The old
/solstitleand/stcommands have been removed. Update any saved commands or server scripts that still use them. - Running
/sol titlesystemnow displays command help.
Reloading
/sol titlesystem reloadnow reloads both common server settings and title JSON files.- Reloading now refreshes connected players' title displays and buffs.
- Invalid configuration files are now properly reported instead of incorrectly claiming the reload succeeded.
Survival Inventory Tabs
- The Title System tab now moved on theΒ Survival inventory tab, directly after the player-inventory tab.
Creative Inventory
- The Creative Titles shortcut is now centered directly above Destroy Item inside the player-inventory panel.
Title Progress Display
- Fully unlocked titles now continue displaying their requirement progress bars and exact progress totals.
- This remains visible regardless of the server's locked-title hint setting.
Fixes
Chat & Player Heads
- Fixed player heads not following the chat HUD when other mods reposition it.
- Player heads now remain aligned with messages across different GUI scales, chat scales, and line-spacing settings.
- Fixed hidden chat leaving player heads visible on:
- Minecraft 1.16.5 Forge
- Minecraft 1.20.1 Forge
- Minecraft 1.21.1 NeoForge
- Minecraft 1.21.11 NeoForge
- On 1.21.1 NeoForge and 1.21.11 NeoForge, player heads now follow the opened chat screen instead of being drawn separately behind it.
Compatibility
JEI / EMI
- Added recipe-viewer exclusion areas to keep JEI's item list clear of the Titles shortcut.
- JEI exclusion support is available on:
- Minecraft 1.16.5 Forge
- Minecraft 1.20.1 Forge
- Minecraft 1.21.1 NeoForge
- Minecraft 1.21.11 NeoForge
- Native EMI exclusion support is also included on supported versions.
Performance
- Fixed severe server lag that could occur when players with extensive title progress picked up items.
Title ID Migration
- Built-in title IDs now progress cleanly from common titles through the highest rarities.
- Existing unlocked and equipped titles are preserved automatically.
- Customized vanilla title files receive a one-time
vanilla_titles-backup.bakbackup before migration.
Projects on Modrinth are automatically available through a Maven repository for use with JVM build tools such as Gradle. To learn more about the Modrinth Maven API, click here.
Note: When available, you should use the creator's maven repo instead as it will have transitive dependency information that the Modrinth Maven API does not. You may also end up with duplicate dependencies if you use a mix of Modrinth and non-Modrinth Maven repositories for your dependencies, because the group identifier will be different when served through the Modrinth Maven API.
