Changes
26.1.x - Major Version Update - 1.4.0
Soulrender Changes
- The Soulrender now has a crafting recipe;
- It can be crafted at the Soul Altar using a Netherite Sword, a 'Soul Ingot' and a new item called the 'Soul Template' (read more about the Soul Ingot and Soul Template below!)
- Crafting The Soulrender takes 15 minutes and is vaguely and publicly broadcasted to all online players
- Only one Soulrender can be crafted and exist per server/world (except if it is spawned in through Creative/commands)
- This crafting recipe is disabled by default, but can be enabled in the config or through '/souls config soulrenderrecipe true'
- We're introducing a new item, the Soul Template;
- The 'Soul Template' can be crafted the Soul Altar with 64 Soul Dust, an Artificial Life and a Warden Heart (taking 60 total minutes to craft)
- The 'Soul Template' cannot be duplicated unlike other vanilla templates
- We're also introducing a secondary new item, called the Soul Ingot;
- You can craft a Soul Ingot at the Soul Altar using a Netherite Ingot and the Eye of Sorrow (taking 10 total minutes to craft)
- The Soulrender is now invulnerable against lava
Ghost Mode Changes
- Players in Ghost Mode can no longer freely fly through blocks like in Spectator Mode;
- Players in Ghost Mode can only travel 8 blocks "deep"
- Players in Ghost Mode now get an increasingly strong haze/vignette effect the "deeper" they travel
- Players in Ghost Mode have their vision go darker the "deeper" they travel
Eye of Sorrow Changes
- The Eye of Sorrow is now crafted by surrounding an Ender Pearl with 8 Ghast Tears instead of a singular Ghast Tear
Soul Dust Changes
- Soul Dust has had its textures and saturation adjusted
Spawn Platform Changes
- The Spawn Platform has been removed to improve compatibility
Config Changes
- Config file should always generate properly and be adjustable
- Added a new config setting for the shared lives players get when soul-binding (these also render properly when adjusted)
- Minimum amount = 3, maximum amount = 15
- Made lives render properly when adjusting their standard amount (base lives)
- Minimum amount = 3, maximum amount = 10
Command Changes
- Added the following command /souls lectern (lock/unlock);
- This command locks existing Soul Lecterns, meaning the books can be viewed but cannot be taken from the Lecterns
Compatibility Changes
- Fixed a few small issues between mod support for the following mods;
- Jade
- Simple Voice Chat
- Mod Menu
- Flashback
- The 'Dice' Mod now adds a special way of obtaining the Omnipotent Soul when installed alongside one another (no obtainment information here!)
Bug Fixes
- Fixed a bug where the player would keep their Glowing effect (from ghost mode) even after respawning
- Fixed a bug where a Corrupted Soul-user would drop a Corrupted Soul on their death rather than their Original Soul
- Fixed a bug where Soulless players could obtain a Unique Soul
- Fixed a bug where the '/souls lives (player) (amount)' command wouldn't overwrite half lives
- Fixed a bug where mobs could pick up Player Souls
- Fixed a bug where Corrupted Players that were Corrupted by the person that created the Corrupted Soul could damage the person that 'infected' them
- Fixed a multitude of other bugs related to the Corrupted Soul to make it more in-line with the Original from the 1.21.1 version
Projects on Modrinth are automatically available through a Maven repository for use with JVM build tools such as Gradle. To learn more about the Modrinth Maven API, click here.
Note: When available, you should use the creator's maven repo instead as it will have transitive dependency information that the Modrinth Maven API does not. You may also end up with duplicate dependencies if you use a mix of Modrinth and non-Modrinth Maven repositories for your dependencies, because the group identifier will be different when served through the Modrinth Maven API.
