Changes
Also out for Minecraft 26.1.2 and 26.2 (see "Other game versions" below).
New
- Soul Fragment: a new armour trim material. A trim made with it shines in the colour of its wearer's SOUL, and the colour follows their SOUL wherever it goes (a new SOUL, a forced choice); the smithing table's preview shows it in your own SOUL's colour. Found in chests: buried treasure, ancient cities, bastions, end cities, woodland mansions, pillager outposts and nether fortresses.
- "HOW TALL ARE YOU?": character creation now asks your size when you play as your own skin (vessels already had it).
- Stand-Guard time bar: while your guards are awake, a bar at the top of the screen shows how long they have left and how many stand guard.
- Mod Options in the options menu: Sodium's settings and Mod Menu's list of mods now have a group of their own (Sodium is no longer pinned at the bottom).
- A new name to try in character creation.
Changed
- Determined-Fate (leaving your SOUL to fate) is now 12% stronger, up from 10%.
- OG now goes to the first player to choose a SOUL themselves (in creation, when asked to choose again, or given by an admin); a SOUL left to fate no longer earns it. Determined-Fate and OG no longer add up when both were earned in play (the stronger counts); with one of them given by an admin, together they are 15%.
- Tether-Line:
- Reeling in with jump stops building speed once you are all the way in, so you hang there instead of being flung about.
- Letting the line out with sneak is faster.
- A strung-up player's arms are held up and out by the threads at their wrists, and the threads run out evenly to the left and right.
- A strung-up mob can no longer attack, draw a bow, fire a crossbow, throw a trident or cast anything (a creeper's fuse goes out too).
- Into-the-Breach: you now lean into the charge, one arm across your chest to barge through.
- Iron-Focus: a new first-person guard pose, and the sword comes up and goes back down smoothly instead of snapping back.
- Ability ring: waits fill and count down while the ring is open, instead of only when it is opened again.
- Character creation: "RETURN TO THE MAIN MENU?" now appears under the platform instead of over your figure.
- Character creation: the height, SOUL and name pages have a CONFIRM button at the bottom, and choosing a SOUL on its page no longer asks "ARE YOU SURE?": CONFIRM takes it.
- JEI and REI are restyled to match the new crafting station looks: a station's recipes are drawn like that station's own screen.
- Player names over heads are now lit, like the SOUL heart before them, so they read at night and with shader packs.
- SV menu, Quirks tab: the quirk list is narrower and its rows smaller, leaving more room for the preview and settings, and the preview is bigger.
- Jade's pop-up now steps aside while a possession bar or the Stand-Guard bar is at the top of the screen.
Fixed
- JEI and REI: the recipe window no longer lets the column beside it show through, the chosen category's tab joins the window instead of being cut off by its edge, the page arrows sit in the middle of their buttons, REI's furnace arrow is drawn whole while it fills, and the arrows on recipe cards show on light stone too.
- With a shader pack, the SOUL heart (and a ghost's mark) on name tags glows again at night instead of fading to a dim brown.
- JEI: the column of stations beside a recipe no longer shows grey boxes behind them, and the window's edge no longer shows through it.
Compatibility
- InvMove: typing in Soulverse's screens (names, searches) no longer walks you around; walking still works in the ability ring and the quirk list.
- Better Combat: its swing animations no longer pull your arm off the Tether-Line line or out of other quirks' poses, and in first person they leave the line arm and Iron-Focus's guard alone.
- Shoulder Surfing Reloaded: aimed quirks (Tether-Line, Trip-Wire, Soul-Drain, and every quirk used on someone) now aim where the crosshair points, and you turn to face it as you use them.
Other game versions
- Soulverse is now built for Minecraft 26.1.2 and 26.2 as well as 26.3, with the same features except where those versions lack something Soulverse needs. The Strapped gear mod is 26.3-only, so its slots aren't there on the older versions.
- 26.1.2: no glow while a character file is held over the window before dropping it (dropping it still works); the online settings have only server listing and Realms notifications (26.1.2 has no friends features); no graphics backend or Mac fullscreen menu options and no quit-shortcut or ctrl-click options; items share one swing animation; pop-ups show their title on one line; the red heart window icon only on Windows and Linux (X11).
- 26.2: no glow while a character file is held over the window before dropping it (dropping it still works); a possessed burning mob's fire isn't drawn over the ghost's view; no settings rows for the Mac fullscreen menu, quit shortcuts or ctrl-click; items share one swing animation; the brewing stand's bars use the standard brewing and fuel times.

Projects on Modrinth are automatically available through a Maven repository for use with JVM build tools such as Gradle. To learn more about the Modrinth Maven API, click here.
Note: When available, you should use the creator's maven repo instead as it will have transitive dependency information that the Modrinth Maven API does not. You may also end up with duplicate dependencies if you use a mix of Modrinth and non-Modrinth Maven repositories for your dependencies, because the group identifier will be different when served through the Modrinth Maven API.
