Changes
New
- Foresight (Netherite): hold right-click with the Paradox to leave your body behind as a checkpoint and move ahead into the future. Use the Paradox again, run out of time or die, and you return to the checkpoint. It runs on Rewind Charges (each second costs half a second of charge). Blocks you mined, items you picked up and mobs you killed (with their drops) stay. mobs, villagers, explosions, placed blocks and your health go back.
- Redirect projectiles: while time is stopped, left-click a frozen arrow, trident or fireball to send it where you are looking. A trail shows exactly where it will land.
Changes
- Tiers rebalanced: Diamond now has Rewind (and Death rewind). Netherite keeps the custom lapse and is the only tier with Foresight. Holding a Golden or Diamond Paradox tells you to reforge it.
- Damage taken during stasis reworked: it now lands after time resumes at its real pace (lava like lava, a cactus like a cactus), not all at once. Each hit takes your situation into account at that moment. water puts out fire and lava damage, your current armor reduces it, and getting out of the water or out of a wall stops drowning or suffocation.
- Falls during stasis land where you are when time resumes, water, hay, slime and the rest work as usual, and it never hurts more than the original fall.
- If you catch fire during stasis, you keep burning after time resumes, so you can still put it out.
Fixes
- Death rewind duplicating Paradoxes, or leaving some on the ground. They are now picked up like any other item.
- 1.20.1 / 1.21.1: trails and the Foresight body copied the player's current pose (sneaking, riding) instead of keeping their own.
- The Paradox in hand no longer bobs when its charges change.
Optional dependencies
Any compatible version
Projects on Modrinth are automatically available through a Maven repository for use with JVM build tools such as Gradle. To learn more about the Modrinth Maven API, click here.
Note: When available, you should use the creator's maven repo instead as it will have transitive dependency information that the Modrinth Maven API does not. You may also end up with duplicate dependencies if you use a mix of Modrinth and non-Modrinth Maven repositories for your dependencies, because the group identifier will be different when served through the Modrinth Maven API.
