Changes
⚠️ Update both the server and all players: 0.1.x and 0.2.0 can't save books to each other. Existing books load fine.
New
- Font sizes: Small, Normal and Large, using the buttons next to the book or Ctrl+Shift+, and Ctrl+Shift+.
- Word wrapping: lines break between words instead of mid-word
- Animated typing dots: a "Typing..." button inserts dots that animate
.→..→... - Copy and paste keep formatting between Style Books (Ctrl+Shift+V pastes plain text)
- Keyboard navigation: move by word (Ctrl+←/→), Home/End, Ctrl+Home/End, and Shift to select with any of them
- Ctrl+Backspace / Ctrl+Delete delete a whole word
- macOS shortcuts: Cmd instead of Ctrl, Option to move or delete by word, Cmd+←/→ for line start and end
Improved
- Deleting, cutting and typing over a selection can now be undone
- Each page has its own undo history
- Resizing the window no longer loses unsaved text or undo history
- If a book changes while you have it open (another player or mod), it reloads instead of you overwriting the newer version
Fixed
- Signed books could be edited by modified clients; the server now protects them
- Books held in the off hand didn't save
- Up/Down could jump to the wrong line on wrapped text
- Pasting could push text past the bottom of the page
- AltGr characters (like
ś) triggered formatting shortcuts
For mod developers
New StyleBookApi: a BOOK_SAVED event, and replaceContents() to change a book's contents safely.
Existing pages may wrap differently because of word wrapping.
Projects on Modrinth are automatically available through a Maven repository for use with JVM build tools such as Gradle. To learn more about the Modrinth Maven API, click here.
Note: When available, you should use the creator's maven repo instead as it will have transitive dependency information that the Modrinth Maven API does not. You may also end up with duplicate dependencies if you use a mix of Modrinth and non-Modrinth Maven repositories for your dependencies, because the group identifier will be different when served through the Modrinth Maven API.
