Changes
[26.3.0.1-1] - Minecraft 26.3
- Release for Minecraft 26.3 (Fabric, Java 25).
- Shogi is required in addition to Waystones and Balm (Waystones dependency on 26.x). Waystones 26.3 brings its own group system: you can create groups, give them a colour and an icon, and filter the waystone list by them. That covers most of what SWG used to do on its own, so this release hands those parts over and keeps only what Waystones has no answer for, namely groups defined by the server.
Your own groups now live in Waystones
- SWG's group screens are gone. Create and fill groups through "Manage Groups" in the waystone menu instead.
- Groups you already had are converted once, on your next login, and show up as normal Waystones groups. Nothing to do by hand.
- Groups from a single player world, or from a server that did not have SWG installed, were only ever stored on your own machine and cannot be converted. Those you need to recreate.
- Converted groups get the Waystones "player homes" icon, and you can change it in the group editor like any other.
Server groups
- One button on the right of the waystone menu opens the server group list, level with the Manage Waystones button on the other side. Right beside it sits a slot showing the active group; clicking that slot clears the selection again, and the tooltip says so. Waystones' own filter bar only holds about five entries before the rest drop off screen, which is why server groups get their own button.
- Waystones belonging to a server group are shown in bold, in that group's colour, aqua by default. Bold is what sets them apart: the native Team group uses the same aqua, and every other colour is one a player can pick for a group of their own.
- Group icons now come from Waystones, with the community hub as the default, so the column looks like the rest of the menu. The one SWG icon left is on the button that opens the list.
- Server groups stay out of your own group list. They are not Waystones groups, so they do not take up a filter slot on the left and do not turn up under Manage Groups, where you could have renamed or restyled something the server defines.
- One switch across both sides. Picking a server group clears the group filter on the left, picking a group on the left clears the server group. Whichever you choose, you see everything in it.
- New:
/swg color <name> <colour>sets the label colour. Takes a colour name such asaquaor a hex value such as#55FFFF. - New:
/swg icon <name> <icon>sets the group icon, for examplewaystones:groups/dungeons. - Both take effect immediately, including for players who are already online.
Visibility filter
- The filter sits under the server group button, level with the first group filter on the other side, and cycles through the kinds of waystone a group contains.
- It offers whatever is actually there, including the new Team visibility that 26.3 brought, and Attuned Shard or Sharestone where those turn up. A kind that is not in the group is never offered, so the filter can never empty the list on you.
- Its icons are Waystones' own, in grey, so it is clear at a glance what is being filtered and equally clear that this is not a group button. "No filter" is a plain dash.
- It only appears where it can do something, that is in groups holding more than one kind, and remembers its setting per group, so a filter set in one group cannot empty the list in another.
Long-standing bugs, fixed in this release
These have been around since 1.21.x and were still in 26.1.2 and 26.2. They are fixed in 26.3. The older versions stay as they are.
/swgnow requires OP level 2. Until now any player on a server could create, rename or delete server groups, even though the commands were documented as admin only./swg removekeeps the group. Taking out the last waystone used to delete the group along with its colour and icon, without saying so.- Group names no longer care about capitalisation.
/swg add myGroupreachesMyGroup, and the same name cannot be created twice in two spellings. Correcting the capitalisation of a group is still a normal rename. /swg listkeeps a fixed order instead of a different one every time.- The
/swg renamemessages are translated. They had been English in every language since they were added.
Projects on Modrinth are automatically available through a Maven repository for use with JVM build tools such as Gradle. To learn more about the Modrinth Maven API, click here.
Note: When available, you should use the creator's maven repo instead as it will have transitive dependency information that the Modrinth Maven API does not. You may also end up with duplicate dependencies if you use a mix of Modrinth and non-Modrinth Maven repositories for your dependencies, because the group identifier will be different when served through the Modrinth Maven API.
