Changes
Added
- Stripper clips and speed loaders. Guns that reload with a clip or speed loader when empty and one round at a time otherwise (like the Kar98) now get their own loading devices. The items are named after what they are: "Stripper Clip", "Clip" or "Speed Loader".
- An empty gun uses a clip or speed loader when you have one.
- Topping up a partly loaded gun still pushes in single rounds by default. To top it up with a clip instead, pick the clip from the magazine selector (hold reload).
- If you have no clip or speed loader, the gun loads loose rounds, so you're never stuck unable to reload.
- Partly used clips work. Rounds that don't fit go back to you as loose ammo.
- Speed loader revolvers. Revolvers whose reload animation uses a speed loader, like the Taurus 500 and Rhino 357, now need a speed loader for every reload. Revolvers you load by hand work the same as before.
- Speed loaders empty the cylinder first, like a real one. The rounds that were in the cylinder go back to your inventory, or drop at your feet if it's full. A setting can drop them on the ground every time.
- Clips and speed loaders show their real round count during the reload animation, so a half-full clip looks half full. The revolver's cylinder fills to match.
- Held magazines, clips and speed loaders show how many rounds they hold on the item itself, in first person, third person, your inventory and on the ground.
- The gun tooltip switches back and forth between the loaded magazine and the ammo type it uses, so you can see both. You can change how fast it switches, or turn it off.
- New settings for everything above, including an option to use the magazine ammo display on clip and speed-loader guns.
Fixed
- The Rhino 357 speed loader looked tiny and zoomed out in your hand when it had rounds in it.
- The Taurus 500 and other speed loader revolvers had no speed loader.
- Picking a magazine from the selector sometimes loaded a different one. Now you always get the one you picked, or nothing if it can't be used.
- A reload could swap your magazine for one with fewer rounds. Automatic reloads now only switch to a fuller magazine.
- Magazines could be lost when reloading with a full inventory. The reload now stops and leaves your gun as it was.
- The extended magazine model sometimes flickered or showed the wrong size at the start or end of a reload.
- The gun's round-by-round reload no longer takes single rounds out of your clips.
- Unloading a clip or speed-loader gun now gives you back loose rounds instead of creating a clip.
- Clips no longer get used up in Creative mode.
- The ammo count on clip and speed-loader guns now includes your loose rounds.
- On clip guns, the magazine well no longer disappears when the gun is empty.
- Long magazine names no longer spill out of the gun tooltip.
- Extended magazines work without the extended magazine attachment by default. You can change this in the settings.
- The Gun Smith Table no longer hides everything else when you're holding a gun. It opens on your gun's magazine tab, and all the ammo tabs are still there.
- Clip and speed-loader guns keep the normal ammo counter by default instead of the magazine display, because they're loaded from loose rounds so often.
- Ammo now shows up in ammo smithing table when sorting for mag with gun
Removed
- The Gun Smith Table no longer limits you to magazines while you're holding a gun.
Projects on Modrinth are automatically available through a Maven repository for use with JVM build tools such as Gradle. To learn more about the Modrinth Maven API, click here.
Note: When available, you should use the creator's maven repo instead as it will have transitive dependency information that the Modrinth Maven API does not. You may also end up with duplicate dependencies if you use a mix of Modrinth and non-Modrinth Maven repositories for your dependencies, because the group identifier will be different when served through the Modrinth Maven API.
