2.0.0
Compatibility
Changes
This release is a complete overhaul of how the stacked dimensions are built. The Nether and End layers are now generated directly as part of the world, rather than being assembled while you play. The result is a smoother, more authentic experience across every layer.
✨ Highlights
Significantly faster, smoother world loading. Chunks appear right away — no more stutter or terrain "popping in" as you explore the stacked layers. An authentic Nether. Open caverns, proper bedrock floor and ceiling, generous lava seas, full ore distribution, vegetation, and natural mob spawns — it finally feels like the real Nether, not a recolored cave. A complete End. Central island, obsidian pillars with crystals, the Ender Dragon fight, chorus growth, and enderman spawns all work as expected. Structures where they belong. Nether Fortresses and Bastion Remnants generate in the Nether layer, and End Cities in the End layer.
🔧 Improvements
Overworld structures no longer leak into the Nether or End layers. Better mod compatibility: because generation now uses each dimension's real settings, mods that change the Nether or End are respected automatically — for example, Amplified Nether's expanded height is applied with no extra setup. /locate support for stacked structures.
⚠️ Important
Worldgen has changed substantially. Please start a new world for 2.0.0 — worlds created on earlier versions won't match the new generation.
Requirements
Minecraft 1.21.1 · NeoForge 21.1.219+ Tectonic · Lithostitched 1.6.0+ · Amplified Nether 1.2.14+
Projects on Modrinth are automatically available through a Maven repository for use with JVM build tools such as Gradle. To learn more about the Modrinth Maven API, click here.
Note: When available, you should use the creator's maven repo instead as it will have transitive dependency information that the Modrinth Maven API does not. You may also end up with duplicate dependencies if you use a mix of Modrinth and non-Modrinth Maven repositories for your dependencies, because the group identifier will be different when served through the Modrinth Maven API.
